            Cracking cup tie.
St Alban's are 2nd in National League south the same division as Havant and waterlooville.
FA cup means a lot to these part time players.
FA Cup upset and it's not Cafc.3 -
I dont really see the St Albans match as much of an upset. Non leafue aide at home beating a side that were non league themselves not that long ago.2

What’s that got to do with anything? They’re top of League 2 at present.golfaddick said:I dont really see the St Albans match as much of an upset. Non leafue aide at home beating a side that were non league themselves not that long ago.14 -
Two cracking FA cup games on the tele today tbf to whoever was picking them.0

So if we beat someone like Brentford in the 3rd round, that wouldn’t be an upset?golfaddick said:I dont really see the St Albans match as much of an upset. Non leafue aide at home beating a side that were non league themselves not that long ago.4 -
Carlisle away for me in the next round.
Lose that and I get to go crewe on the 8th jan.
Happy days0 -
St Albans away in the second round please3

If Brentford were to field 11 reserves and rest their first team then no, I would not class it as a giant killing like we used to see.Belv said:

Some dismal performances by many of the L1 sides. Sunderland going out makes headlines, but the likes of Ipswich, MKD and Wigan failing to beat lower level opposition at home, and having to go away for a replay is almost worseForeverAddickted said:Oxford drew 2-2 with Bristol Rovers today.
Given the "big" clubs in League One all had home ties, its surprising that only Charlton and Portsmouth managed to avoid a replay or being knocked out.
All have faced lower league opposition as well apart from Sheffield Wednesday.3 -

If Wrexham had beaten Harrogate on Saturday, on paper it would have been an upset (NL beating L2) but in reality, most people would consider Wrexham, with their previous league history a far bigger club than Harrogate, who've spent most of their life way down the pyramid. Especially with the new owners.2

It does seem that lots of the League One bigger clubs are on FA Cup replays which is probably a good thing for our rise up the table, one more win and we can dream about a PL team at home1

To be fair Sunderland are still recovering from a Stockley head buttkillerandflash said:

Who on earth thought putting Dag & Red vs Salford on the tele was a good idea? What a bore fest. There was about 10 more interesting ties they could've picked.0

If we can't get an unusual opponent, as I can't see myself going there on Boxing Day, away at Wimbledon would be good. A new ground and likely to create more interest than most other L1 opponents0

Bolton vs Stockport. Local ish derby, ex-Premier League vs former football league stalwart on their way back, five figures in attendance including a sold out away end…clb74 said:

Any thoughts on playing Plymouth Argyle 3 times in a month? 2x in league and if they beat SheffWeds and we draw them0

And how many people are bothered about Bolton v Stockport outside of Bolton and Stockport?Callumcafc said:

So your argument is that no FA Cup games should be on TV? I think it’s fair to say that Bolton v Stockport is a lot more interesting to a neutral than Dag Red v Salford…clb74 said:
