This feels very different from the 3 previous semis I've seen England in
In 1990 and 1996 it was up against the major rival Germany, but as importantly whoever won that match would be favourites to win the final (Argentina and the Czechs were nowhere near as good). Both games felt like THE big challenge
In 2018 our semi was tough on paper, AND the French would be overwhelming favourites against us in the final. Two massive challenges
This time we have a winnable looking semi and a final where the Italians are good, but nothing to fear1 -
Come on England!0

Imagine being that against a team winning you go out and buy a football shirt.1 -

Rob Beckett’s insta is funny again. Getting properly hammered at Box Park0

Shitting myself now. More to this than a game of football. If we can win this the feel good factor will go along way towards economic recovery. Win this then win a few Olympic gold medals... crisis over 😳0

No issues with the starting 11 but is Chilwell now injured ? As we have two keepers on the Bench and Chilwell is a like for like Sub for Shaw if he gets injured.

I can't argue with that side, though might have swapped the right back to Trippier or James as I'm not sure Walker is that good a RB for England, and seems better as a RCB now for England0

Reckon Chilwell is the biggest sufferer from the COVID incident with Scotland.
Had it not been a problem I bet he'd have potentially played against the Czech Republic
Because he didnt, there has now been a reluctance to throw him in cold for a knockout game.0 -
I thought that was alesha dixon interviewing for about a minute 😞1

Ashley Cole! Get him off TV. “Hopefully Pickford will win the golden glove” - would that be the Golden Glove he has already won?2

Since the Sweden win at the World Cup I came away from the pub, and remember posting on here that Southgate needed to be given the opportunity as he was showing signs of putting a squad together - Really want to see him do it.0 - Sponsored links:

Still keeping a lid on it.1

Credit where it's due.3 -
Nervous but feeling positive. Seeing England in a semi final has been a rare thing over the years. I'm treating this game like the play off final two years ago, I'm going to enjoy it and try not to get too downbeat if we lose.

1990 I cried as a boy, don't really remember Mexico 86 .
To see England win a World Cup must have been amazing.
I'd settle for an England Euro win and then a WC.1 -
Our Gareth, who art in WembleyHallowed be thy TurfThy moment's come,Thy match will be won,In normal, not in extra time.Give us this day our 2-0 win,And forgive us for doubting your tactics,As we forgive those who dive against us.Lead us not to a penalty shootout,But deliver us from DenmarkFor thine is the semis,The Final and the glory,Forever and ever,ENGLAND!!#itscominghome 🏴🏴2

I’m one of the lucky ones who seen us win the World Cup. Just hope we can do it tonight just so that those who haven’t can have the pleasure of seeing England win a major cup once again after 55 years of hurt.0

I’m more cheesy than a bag of Wotsits but I still can’t take a football crowd singing Atomic Kitten. Drop me out.8

Had a really shite week with a few family bits, think it's actually helped make me a bit 'it's only football' and relax rather than being nervous.
But I know 4 mins after kick off I'll have no fingernails left already.2 -
