I am disappointed in Nuno....why leave Wolves for Palarse.
Maybe he did not really "leave" but was gently told TO leave.
Also, it is well reported that Wolves' Chinese owners plan to pull back on investment and maybe this made the position less attractive?

it seems he was sacked. although the 'political' term is 'left by mutual consent'. Wolves will need another Portuguese manager as most of the players are from west Iberia. ((:>)
I am surprised if he was sacked. He did a good job at Wolves.
Probably a victim of his own success. They finished 7th in his first 2 seasons in the Premier league, but this season only 13th.

Obviously not helped by the long term injury to their main man Jimenez and the sale of Jota but the owners probably decided it was time to freshen things up.

So... according to the most reliable ITK sources, Spurs had deals for Conte and Ten Haag agreed but both have walked away when Levy started flirting with Poch.

FWIW... remember that poll I posted a couple of weeks ago, its been updated again and makes for interesting reading...

Not a huge convincing lead for Poch by any stretch.

But this stats says a lot...

  • Ten Hag literally only just signed a new contract with Ajax, so surely he wasn't going to go there.

Personally i think Spurs should've just gone for Conte, he has a history of quickly turning around clubs who've not been doing so well.

Poch shouldn't go back to Spurs, if i was him i'd go to Real Madrid, the chance might not come around again for a while. Zidane can then go to PSG. Everyone's happy.

I think I tend to agree with you.
I'd like to think Poch would Facetime Levy and give him the middle fingers as he signs his contract in Madrid.

Spurs will end up with Eddie Howe or the old wolves guy. This is what makes me laugh about Spurs, slap bang average premier league club, odd champions league season with the only thing special about the club being its stadium but still trying to get managers who are out of their league

So Spurs fans offered the chance of Zidane respond with “nah, I think we’ll give him a miss”?

Looks like Ancelotti is on his way back to Real Madrid. I suspect Everton fans will be gutted at this news

Just put Sky Sports News on and good old Jim White is saying that the Everton Board will meet tonight to discuss a replacement.

It is, BUT he wasn't particularly successful there was he ? .. perhaps his legacy will be in the coaching he gave the likes of Calvert.-.Lewin

Yeah fair point, I thought they’d had a very successful season, but just checked and finished 10th.

It's been a mad summer at many of the top European clubs

It’s rather relaxing knowing our only summer issues is player recruitment.

Think Nuno would prefer the Everton job over Palace and he's probably the best they'll get.
Everton would be a good move for Eddie Howe.
I sort've think Howe might be waiting to see if the England job becomes available in a few months...

I can't see England picking a coach with no international experience, whether as a player or as a manager (or even assistant). Or even any European experience

All done in less than 24hrs.
Thats how you run a football club.
Unlike Daniel Levy who is still dicking around.

I have a feeling that if Spurs had unveiled Ancelotti there would have been a meltdown amongst their supporters saying why are we going for a manager who just finished 10th in the PL.

Be surprised if Gerrard leaves Rangers this summer with the prospect of the Champions League next season

Because he's going to Manchester United.
