on Adkins, he did a pretty decent job at Hull, considering the complete mess that club was at the time. Again not saying he's the right person, but let's not rush to judgement on the Sheffield United time

good managers don’t guarantee success and bad managers don’t instantly mean failure. All of these people have been in football all their lives, their approach and decision making is relatively narrow and overlapping. 

The right budget, coaching, support and medical team and facilities, training facilities, recruitment policy, contract management, club strategy etc are all just as important as the man who picks the team and sets the tactics and formation.

I guess there are pros and cons of this sort of move. The new manager bounce has been studied before and proves to be in most cases a real thing, but after that initial improvement in results they tend to regress to the mean. The performance of a club is directly linked to how good the players are/how much money they spend on players. Managers have a small impact on the overall performance of a club over time. Watford have been fairly successful changing managers regularly. I think the football community in this country are usually against it because it's not how things have been traditionally done. We can point to loads of examples of times when English football has been opposed to new ideas that have gone on to be not only beneficial but to also be the norm.

that's the thing, TS has made it very clear what his intentions are for the club so will be looking for a manager that can lead us all the way not people that he will have to replace every time we step up a level.

Adkins has no Charlton connection, is not very good and not very Danish either.

Can't imagine why he would be seriously considered by TS.

Unless TS has 100% confidence in the perfect candidate, he should stick with Jacko with Curbs as the backroom guru and fashion adviser.

Years ago I'd say yes but not now. We are L1 though so have to be realistic 

Haha Adkins doesn’t feel like the right appointment at all but who knows?

He has three previous promotions out of this league, although the most recent one came in 2011 so a while ago now.
