Time for a new thread and what better place to start then to take a look at our current squad:
Batsman
Joe Denly
Zac Crawley
Daniel Bell-Drummond
Jack Leaning
Heino Kuhn
Alex Blake
Batsman/Keepers
Sam Billings
Ollie Robinson
Jordan Cox
Pace Bowlers
Darren Stevens
Matt Milnes
Harry Podmore
Grant Stewart
Tim Groenewald
Nathan Gilchrist
Fred Klaassen
Spinners
Imran Qayyum
Hamidullah Qadri
Marcus O'Riordan
This is the smallest squad -19 but one less for red ball as Blake holds a white ball only contract - that we have had in living memory. Crawley and Billings will, in all probability, be missing on England duty during the course of the summer and we will lose a minimum of four players (Billings, Crawley, Blake and Denly) for The Hundred with the possibility that Bell-Drummond could get a contract too which would leave us with just Kuhn, Leaning, Robinson and Cox plus O'Riordan from the batting ranks.
Such are the times we find ourselves in and they do, unfortunately, call for us to cut our cloth accordingly.

Pretty good article on CAFC/KCCC players, wasn't sure if its worth starting a thread.....

all Kent home fixtures of the one day cup will be played at Beckenham.
As long as i'm free on those days i can easily get a train over for them.

Is Kuhn now overseas ?0

I think putting Darren Stevens in the “pace bowlers” category is generous. :-)6

All the Blast matches this season will be at Canterbury. No matches at all at Tunbridge WellsKarim_myBagheri said:all Kent home fixtures of the one day cup will be played at Beckenham.

Yes but a separate heading of "trundlers" might be insulting!Callumcafc said:I think putting Darren Stevens in the “pace bowlers” category is generous. :-)3 -
I believe so. We are allowed two overseas and with the lack of funds it would be unlikely to land more than one other overseas player anyway,wmcf123 said:Is Kuhn now overseas ?0 -
Better than typing dibbly dobbly wicket taking speed.Callumcafc said:I think putting Darren Stevens in the “pace bowlers” category is generous. :-)0 -

Sam Billings has been picked up by the Dehli Capitals for £200K. This will mean him missing the first couple of months of the season as he is unlikely to be available 'til June. He is also involved in the Hundred so will be gone for a month not to mention call ups for the England white ball squads.
Fortunately, we have Ollie Robinson and Jordan Cox but we are already down to 17 for red ball and 18 for white for the majority of the summer and just 15 for the duration of the Hundred.

Would be absolutely over the moon to be able to watch some cricket at the spitfire this summer7

Matt Walker has confirmed that Heino Kuhn will be one of our two overseas players this season and that we will try to get another one, although doing so will be problematic for the reasons given in this article:

As a lover of the County Championship, it's not going to be a great season. The rush of early season CC games will mean that there is no chance of being able to attend those, then comes the T20 which I'm so-so about. After that, it's the One Day Cup, which runs at the same time as The Hundred. As a Sussex supporter, this will effectively mean that Sussex 2nds will be competing in that as 9 of their side have been scooped up for The Hundred. Finally, it's the "Divisions stage" for the red ball format. Not much to excite me until August (and Sussex will be in Division 3 for those Divisional games).4

I see that Surrey and Middlesex are selling T20 tickets, but Kent aren't. Does anyone know why, and when Kent might put theirs up for sale?

Surrey had theirs on early bird sale well before the route map was even announced.0

Either because they want people to buy packages or, more likely, because of the worry that Covid restrictions that might still be prevalent. At Lords and the Oval they can spread those people that have bought early even if they have to shift them about a bit but if we won't be able to at Canterbury and consequently would have to upset a few people by having to refund them. And they will probably sell out most T20 matches anyway.PemburyAddick said:I see that Surrey and Middlesex are selling T20 tickets, but Kent aren't. Miguel Cummins has joined Kent for the first 8 County Championship matches and will join our pack of fast bowlers. He was with Middlesex last season
