Not as great at driving as a golf legend should be.

His agent saying multiple leg injuries and he's in surgery.

Multiple leg injuries you'd hope means it avoided his spine/neck.

    Hope he recovers well.

Erm feel a tad bad about my above joke now. Early reports didn't sound too serious.

A man who clearly has some demons.

    Good luck Tiger.
  • Watched the 2 part Sky Documentaries film on his life recently -"Tiger". Really interesting and appreciated him / sympathised with him a lot more after. Worth a watch...

Really hoping he can make a full recovery. And I hope he's not found to have been culpable for the accident due to driving while under the influence of opiates.

  • Hope it’s not as grim as it sounds but I’ll be surprised if he plays top golf again.

    Really?

Classy, he has 2 kids and loves ones that are no doubt worried sick about him.

Stay strong Tiger and good luck to a full recovery.

I think he’d just had more surgery on his back.

The LA County Sheriffs have stated that it seems Woods was driving at well over the speed limit when the incident occurred

I thought that was obvious. Not sure you'd clip a curb and flip your car if you were driving quite casually along.

Unless there is a catastrophic failure with the car pretty much all accidents are driver error.

The Sheriff claimed that due to the nature of the crash it was likely he was travelling at excess speed but also added that Tiger appeared lucid - blood tests would confirm but no evidence at this stage that he was driving under the influence.

He will do very well to get to competitive golf but he’s alive and will recover.

You having a bad day or something? Relax. I'm commenting on the police statement, it's not a dig at you.
  • When they talk about multiple open fractures on his legs it's sounds awful. Hopefully he recovers fully.

that is why I used the word 'incident' .. driver error can't be described as 'accidental' .. as I wrote above, Woods appears to be a troubled man since his father's death, marital breakdown and the inevitable loss of sporting ability that comes with aging .. as well as medical/surgical help, I am sure that Tiger needs some kind of psychiatric help to readjust to his current situation. Not a new thing for famous and very talented people to go off the rails, metaphorically speaking, when slowing down and 'old' age creep up on them

    Yeah that sounds absolutely horrific.

I cannot imagine he hasn’t been getting psychiatric  help - for years.
  • Open fractures provide a higher risk of infection and it all sounds pretty serious. I hope he makes a full recovery.

Let's hope he makes a full recovery...if it might digress a tad I'd advise anyone interested to read the autobiography of ben Hogan who recovered from a horrific car accident to become a great of the game

Looking at the car afterwards it looks like he could have come off a lot worse. Hope he makes a full recovery, but I don't think he'll be playing any serious golf for a long time, if at all.

Glad that he's alive and I hope he makes a full recovery.

However, I do lose some respect for him, as he's putting other people's life at risk as well, by going well over the speed limit on a public road.
