Marcus Maddison - 20 months jail for GBH (p77)

Whether it was a red or not one has to say that this blokes career is yet again shrouded in controversy and despair.
Some people are just meant to have a bizarre disruptive life.....as far as his football career is going, that is clearly the case.....whether by design, bad luck or karma, it just keeps happening.0 -
I wouldn't be surprised if it was a deliberate action to get an automatic red, gets a three match ban and can pop home for a few days to Peterborough.0

Cos one player writhed around on the floor and his teammates surrounded the ref.Oggy Red said:Late to the party, as usual ...... but the ball was there to be won, both players dived in; how can one player be penalised and not the other?
Maddison had studs down, was quicker and decisive, winning the ball cleanly.
The only player to have studs up dangerously was the opponent.
Made the decision for him2 -
It certainly didn’t help matters.Six-a-bag-of-nuts said:

never a red in a million years4

Sadly true. But what about the card?Elthamaddick said:never a red in a million years17 -
Not a very clear clip, but he looks unlucky0
-
Bolton are appealing so they obviously believe they have grounds for it to be overturned.0
-
Red got overturned8
-
The correct decision. If that had been Millar sent off for something similar, we'd have been fuming

I agree with the ref, although I'll concede it was an "orange" card.addick1956 said:

First he is accused of jumping out of s tackle and now brainless except, lookat the action before you start reinforcing a biased prejudice again.Covered End said:Number 7 knew he was going to get sent off.
He went in studs up with the yellow boot with the black boot just behind.
Brainless is a generous description for Maddison.
He's just cost Bolton 2 points as Morecambe have equalised and match drawn.
He jumped out of the tackle playing for Charlton.
He got sent off for lunging in on a Morecambe player 12 mins after coming on.
I've watched it about 10 times thanks.
I'm not in the least surprised that you would defend the brainless.
He didn't lunge into the Morecambe player .
If you had to watch that and still came to the wrong conclusion it says much for your judgement or bias.0 -
That is barely a foul, never mind a red4
-
Never a yellow card let alone a red.2

So he's just been let off and he is planning to kick someone again on Saturday? Will he ever learnkillerandflash said:The correct decision. If that had been Millar sent off for something similar, we'd have been fuming16 -
Ref rightly decided he was a completely violent thug based on his tattoos.
(...now we wait)5 -
He's actually gutted by all accounts he had plans to see that munter who tapped him up on Facebook.

Not exactly getting a glowing enforcement from either Watson or Pratley tonight... Basically saying that he needs to knuckle down in training more and that Bolton is last chance saloon!!9

Bolton had someone else sent off today. Kettle was the referee:
the fifth time in six games that referee Trevor Kettle has sent off a Bolton player.

He's the sort of person who dreamt of being a Footballer when he was a kid wasnt he? - Either he kept getting picked last or some better kid nutmegged him once but feels he's got a right thing against FootballersEveshamAddick said:Bolton had someone else sent off today. Kettle was the referee:

Haha .... It's not just us then!EveshamAddick said:Bolton had someone else sent off today. Kettle was the referee:

Kettle must be the most hated referee in the EFL.
