    Probably why I’ve constantly lost money on zil - only time I traded something other than Bitcoin is when Bitcoin is a bit meh. Already made a decent % on longing zil instead of Bitcoin

    Bitcoin smashes through 25k and now at 26k. Remember it’s a smaller percentage growth to 100k than 2k was to 20k - which is what it’s done this year

    I've got a sell order in place for when it hits 8.5c. That'll give me back 100% profit on what I've put in.

    Then just taking that ride up to $1.

    Zil, but as I mentioned earlier, it seems to be following Bitcoin but a lot more. Bitcoin pulling back too

    Anyone looked far into capital gains tax for long term holders?
    I was wondering if there is any way to utilize the capital gains allowance throughout the years inbetween purchase and sale?

    I looked on the HMRC website but it appears they have a bed and breakfast rule to stop you selling and buying straight back in to take advantage of capital gains allowances like that, although it seems more like it was set up to target false losses.

    I certainly dont want my money in fiat for 30 days!

    If you trade it regularly they see that as self employment and comes under your self assessment income tax - for long term holding it’s capital gains tax once you convert back to GBP iirc
