He has fitness/injury issues, doesn't score enough goals and his end product needs improving. He does draw a lot of fouls but sometimes he'd do better to stay on his feet.

I was excited when we signed him but the more I've watched him I've not been over impressed. 

I hope he does well in L1 and keeps fit.

I think a high percentage of his 'possessions' end in a positive outcome. That's why we win far more games when he is involved (stats don't lie). The rest is flim flam.

Some stats are pretty meaningless especially given we could barely put out a team due to injuries for part of last season. The only real game changer we had was Lyle Taylor.

Williams is exciting to watch because he runs with the ball which is why everyone is so desperate to big him up. He doesn't score(0 in 42), is injury prone and his end product needs to improve. His stats are not great for an attacking midfielder at this level.

But also, you’ve got to use the evidence of your eyes. When he has the ball he looks better than our other players. Why would you throw that away because he doesn’t score goals? He wasn’t bought to score goals. 

It's a pretty spurious argument to say we win more matches when he plays based on last season and the injuries we had. He played in a number of early season games when surrounded by a strong lineup and missed a lot of the games when we could barely muster a team. His stats obviously benefit from this.

I've watched him play numerous times and I don't find him terribly effective even though on the surface he's exciting because of his pace. I do expect an attacking midfielder at this level to score the odd goal and have a better end product.

People keep going on about his cameo at Wembley as if that is all that matters.

I've found him a bit of a disappointment up to now and hope he is more effective next season. 

Put JFC and Williams together and you’ve got one player, if they play more than half a season each they’ll have done well.

So were a lot of Jackson's. They still count. And JFC has launched a couple of rockets before too, so it's not like JW NEEDS more goals.

We do have plenty of shots from that range, they usually hit the defenders shin who is standing 3 yards away
