    Yeah he was very lucky in both groups, i was hoping Carty won yesterdays but fairplay Brecel won and Carty lost the game which he needed. Funny player, so inconsistent flashes of brilliance but still doesn't look like he will make the top 16 soon for me.

    If I remember correctly, Davies gets mullered 10-1.  I think the year before the current World Champion, Terry Griffiths, got hammered by a similar score in the first round, this time by Steve Davies.

    Yep good work mate, for those interested tonight on free sports (422 on sky) have pool back on, i think its on for a whole week its called super series. Starts at 6pm, i'll be watching it

    Some sad news

    Willie Thorne who has been battling Leukaemia since March, was taken to hospital last week week with low blood pressure

    He has now been placed in an induced coma after suffering respiratory failure.
