I know mate, just I wasn't feeling it last night. it could have been as I'd got in from pool and needed something a bit more light to watch. The whole who done it, doesn't necessarily build up this series. Not sure whether I will try again some point this week doubt it.0 -
Yeah know what you mean about liar. Watched the first one and was looking forward to it. However, I had completely forgotten about the scene where she drugs the rapist and drags him back to a hide out and ties him up!
Reckon this series will be a stinker1 -

No point, obvious who dunnit. The black coppers army wife.
I'm guessing there will be a who dunnit second series...Liar turned out to be a disappointing, 3 episodes too long imo.
Yeah that was pretty bad.
Whilst I was going back to see if I had commented on the 1st series or not(still cant remember if I actually watched it) I saw these lolgolfaddick said:Series 2 will be a whodunnit (I reckon the son) or will be the son out to get revenge on Laura who has been made a police detective due to her ability to solve multiple crimes when she is not even a copper.
don't bother watching it - it was his mum.0 -
Binge watched the first six episodes of the Netflix Grand Prix documentary during a sleepless night last night. Absolutely brilliant stuff. The episode with Haas imploding is like watching Veep with the team Principle losing his nut and swearing brilliantly in English with a German accent. Also the episode with the unsuccessful young Red Bull driver is gripping.0

Just watched The Stranger. Enjoyable all the way through with a hint of dark humour throughout and good performances by the cast.
I haven't read the book but I had a strong feeling that I'd seen it all before and easily predicted the killer(s) etc.0 -
Seen the first 3 episodes of Hunters on Amazon. Following a group of vigilantes hunting ex Nazi's located in America. Enjoying it, but very dark in places, which you expect of course given the subject, but then offset by bizarre cabaret moments. Apparently related to real life events, not sure about the cabaret part of that!0

Caught up on the last couple of episodes of Inside No 9.
I'd say this series hasn't quite lived up to the (extremely high) standards of the 4 series before but it's still one of the best things on TV.
The magician episode, Misdirection, was superbly done.3 -
Watched the first episode of Liar. My god how annoying is the lead detective. She makes it almost unwatchable.1
-
Anyone watching the new series of Homeland? Usual twists and turns already4
-
1st episode of series 5(Halloween Special) of Inside Number 9 is so weird, what with the 'Pretend technical difficulties' and going back to the 2nd ever episode ever briefly lol0

For me, pure genius. But that's my sense of humour. Very dark, lots of horror references. Start with league of gentlemen, it's very funny.paulie8290 said:

Better Call Saul is back up to its usual great standards.
I remarked how well shot Mr Robot was shot but BCS still keeps the crown. The ants and the ice cream were mesmerising.1 -
It was the live aspect that made that one work, people switching off and not realising until days later it was part of the show, others going on Twitter to comment and moan, viewers not realising it wasn't real technical difficulties at the start and so the ghosts & gremlins in the system being a genuine shock.paulie8290 said:1st episode of series 5(Halloween Special) of Inside Number 9 is so weird, what with the 'Pretend technical difficulties' and going back to the 2nd ever episode ever briefly lol
Very "event" TV, very well done for the social media age.
Suspect it doesn't stand up as well on first time online viewing like you've seen it.0 -
It was so confusing, we were watching and said if there were technical issues why would they put this one on I Player, it wasnt until I went on IMDB and saw this picture they attached to the episode that I realized it must have been all part of it and we enjoyed the episode from then on lol.North Lower Neil said:

The Trails of Gabriel Fernandes.
Christ it’s some grim viewing but fascinating at the same time. The fact they have profit making companies drafted in for child care and fostering services is astounding.0 -
Just about to start that on the recommendation of my daughter, she is home from Liverpool at the weekend and wants me to binge watch it so we can talk about it, looks like I'm in for a grim couple of eveningsValleyGary said:The Trails of Gabriel Fernandes.

Noughts and Crosses, anyone? A bit simplistic so far.0

Just finished, The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez.
Shocking,Harrowing,Heart-wrenching and unbelievable the Evil some people possess.
I've always been caught in two minds about the death penalty but had no qualms about one of the accused receiving it and the other, well I won't say incase anyone else chooses to watch it.2 -
Glossy but very disappointing.Weegie Addick said:Noughts and Crosses, anyone? A bit simplistic so far.0 -
Gave it 10 minutes after which we both said "not for us" so we binned it.Weegie Addick said:Noughts and Crosses, anyone? A bit simplistic so far.0 -
Not new, but came across a cop show from Belgium on Netflix called Unit 42 thought it was excellent. I think Season 2 is airing in Belgium at the moment so hopefully will be available on Netfix soon.0
