Much as it galls me to praise Liverpool

hats off to a team that mathematically can't finish lower than 14th by the end of January and, if they win tomorrow, lower than 8th by 1st February.

They have had a remarkable season so far.

    Yeah I was at Bartlett’s debut when we got stuffed. The roar as they came forward was genuinely intimidating, I’ve not experienced that elsewhere to that extent.

    Like them or loathe them they are proper club. Chelsea and Man City need to go back to lower / mid table in the next few years

    When I was fifteen I was mates with two brothers who were Liverpool fans because their dad was a Scouser and they asked me if I wanted to go with them to Anfield to see them play Spurs. I went along and we stood on the Kop and to this day it’s still one of the best things I’ve ever experienced at a football game. The atmosphere was incredible. There are several clubs who I have real disdain for before Liverpool and the Scousers I’ve met have been spot on.

    Listen to Klopps comments regarding the FA Cup replay against Shrewsbury. Should answer a few of your queries. 

    Shame as I was starting to like them after they turned down hosting England at Anfield because the sun needed to have a reporter there.

    Never really had to dislike them and seems they've gone about building a team and management structure the right way so absolutely fair play to how they're going right now.

    A team other than City,  United or Chelsea to win the Prem title.  Can't see anything wrong with that at all. 

    Also,  like some others have said I grew up watching their European Cup exploits under Bob Paisley and used to love their games. Always had a thing about the Kop surge too. 

    One of our finest away performances came at Anfield in the 3.3 draw.

    A had a girlfriend who was a Liverpool supporter and she nicked all the wheels off my car so I've had a soft spot for them ever since.

    Used to love Liverpool as a kid in the early 80s , I’d listen on the radio / watch on the telly their European exploits .
    It was the ground I was most excited to go to when we first got promoted to the top flight in(my lifetime)1986 .
    Of the 70 plus grounds And a gazillion games I’d been to on my first visit to Anfield having lost 2-0 and wearing a woolly Charlton hat as a young 16 year old walking back to the coach minding my own business some scally punched me on the side of the head and nicked my hat and ran off , another scouser offered to get it back for a quid , only time I’ve been punched at footy ! 
    I still liked Liverpool back then , loved Dalglish and Rush 
    I  like to see other clubs fans suffer , so their non winning of the prem was perfect and the longer it went on the better . 
    Obviously someone has to win it so I don’t mind Man City/  Leicester  winning it cos I don’t know any of their fans .
    know load of Liverpool fans  and enjoy their so called  failures .
    once they win it then I won’t mind as much them winning it again cos it won’t be as big a deal 
    all that shit when they played Man City in the Champions League chucking shit at the coach was proper scummy .
    Love the way their playing and don’t mind the manager but hate their fans I mean their accent is up there with a brummie one as the most annoying .
    i just fucking  hate them , there’s no rationale in football , it just grew up on me as time went by, I’m sure I cheered them on in Istanbul and deffo wanted them to beat Spurs in the CL final cos I hate Spurs even more .
    Ive got so much hate when it comes to football(illogical I know) 99% is reserved for the scum and 0.9% for palace then the other 0.1% all the other clubs but I’d say Liverpool were up there in the hate stakes 
    but the ying to the yang is all my love is for Charlton (even if they wind me up beyond belief)

    16 February, a third of the season left pretty much and mathematically Liverpool cannot finish lower than 5th!

    Can’t stand the whole victim aspect aswell as the whole scouse not English carry on - yes the sun were wankers and I in full agreement ,

    The constant hijacking and whinging of there fans is tedious I also find klopp an arrogant wanker - loved him at Dortmund but now not so much.

    I still like Klopp but I am finding him more arrogant and you would imagine that’s only going to get worse.

    Said on the premier league thread that it's crazy to think that if they'd won at Man Utd earlier this season, they'd have won 35 straight games.

    Ditto. Never understood the hate to the fans (altho 1/2 the family are from merseyside)... always been a cheerful friendly bunch to me. 

    In my office everyone blindly hates liverpool and their fans and no1 has a legitimate reason why! 

    They give the neutral fan some great european nights and actually invent decent chants.  They've always backed the team even in the bad times.

    I like this Liverpool team, suspect that’s a lot to do with me preferring Klopp to Pep. They are an exceptional team doing something special. Although if don’t win the  league for nearly 30 years, you should be scrapping it on the last weekend, not winning it in February

    I think they are great, love Klopp and the way he goes about his business.

    All this hate against their fans makes me laugh, we have our fair share of wankers supporting us, its football.
