Looking at the evidence it would be hard on them if they were deducted points. Being forced to sell their best players yet under a transfer embargo meaning they could not replace them.
If it happened here this site would go in to melt down.0 -

Thanks @joshaddick. Paywalled on the Telegraph site but from following the link through to the back story it appears there's only a max of 3 points at stake, still a potentially significant number of points in any normal circumstances of course. (Would normally be hoping for around 10 points given our current indicative league position)
More interesting perhaps is that the EFL and courts are undertaking regular 'business' in these times.1 -
No news yet of Derby or Sheff Wed....? Seeing as there is no actual football going on you'd think these cases would have been sorted by now......or are the EFL waiting to see if the season is going to continue & if not deduct the points next season instead ?0

The new majority owners are Achiever Global Group Ltd, a British Virgin Islands property company.
Blues can bank £10.8m, but are now committed to paying back £1.25m a year in rent to lease the ground until 2031.
Birmingham Sports Holdings has told the Hong Kong Stock Exchange that it is to sell their share.

Birmingham City director Edward Zheng says the club are "hugely frustrated" by the continued closure of the Kop and Tilton stands at St Andrew's.
They will remain shut for their next two Championship games, against Stoke and Bournemouth, due to "the discovery of further necessary repair work".
Affected season ticket holders will enter a ballot for remaining seats.
