He's probably worried that the clearance goes through just before Christmas and he ends up paying double for his EasyJet flight.sammy391 said:9 -
H.E. T Nimer is certainly racking up the international flights. I reckon he's buying Charlton with his air miles.sammy391 said:6 -
ESI’s position is that RD’s statement is wrong - the takeover is within anticipated timescales, as they have repeatedly briefed.harveys_gardener said:
They responded quickly to Duchatalet's statement, not the application for new ownership by ESI. Therefore waffle. Although their 10 day rule is ambiguous, any delay seems not to have been explained according to the RD report.Henry Irving said:
You moaned they hadn't responded within ten days but they had.harveys_gardener said:Henry I've read that comment but it is waffle. Do they say the ball is back in the ESI court? No. They are prevaricating which is damaging to our chances of competing in this division. Do they give a reason for their failure to make a judgemental? No.
FFS due diligence. When has that been visible in EFL dealings?
At the end of the day they have issued a statement giving no indication why there is a delay.
You moaned they hadn't responded to Duchatelet's rant only hours after the event but they responded the same afternoon.
You moaned the statement is waffle as it gives no indication why there is a delay but ESI are saying there is no delay.
What more can the EFL say about a confidential process? ESI are crooks? Duchatelet lied? The numbers don't add up?
They can't comment in any detail and nor should they.
I don't have 100% faith in the EFL, I've met with them, but I have zero faith in the person trying to pin all the blame on them; Roland Duchatelet.
Did I say they had not responded to the RD rant? No.
ESI have given no statement on the procedure.
EFL can say "we have asked for further clarification" They have not done so publicly.0 -

Airman, can you explain when the 10 days started ticking? The clock is already affecting our ability to update the squad.0

There is no 10 days in terms of processing the application.harveys_gardener said:Airman, can you explain when the 10 days started ticking? The clock is already affecting our ability to update the squad.0 -

So what was wrong about the 10 day rule posted earlier from EFL rulebook?Airman Brown said:

The club informed the EFL of the propesed take over. The EFL have 10 days to respond, which they did because they responded and then arranged interviews. There's no rule saying the whole process has to be completed within 10 days, just that the EFL have to respond in some way to the club in question. That response could be as some as "thanks for letting us know, we'll get back to you with questions in due course"4

No it isn't.harveys_gardener said:Airman, can you explain when the 10 days started ticking? The clock is already affecting our ability to update the squad.0 -
Sorry are we saying "we have received your e-mail and will give it due attention" is a legitimate response to their ten day rulebook item? Seems to me they commit to giving JUDGEMENT within 10 days.
When do they have to rule? Start of this window? End of? June 2020?
They are prevaricating on issues with serious connected people, and unless there are private communications undermining their public stance, they are inviting legal action against some seriously wealthy people which could lead to their demise.6 -
I can't believe any institution would commit to giving a judgement with 10 days of first contact. If they do mention judgement within 10 days it can only be within 10 days of completing interviews and receiving all documentation and enquiries answered to their satisfaction.5

With a bit of luck it will take him a couple of weeks to read and digest all of the information contained therein and by then, it will all be sorted.6 -
