Absolute chaos at the end of the Browns game, should be celebrating a big win but Myles Garrett rush of blood, he will get suspended for a few weeks now I reckon0

I reckon that's his season done.
Ridiculous throwing the QB to the ground so long after the play,then ripping QB'S helmet off, and then hitting the QB over the head with the helmet !!
All with 8 seconds of the game left and 14 points up !!!
Pittsburgh player will also get suspended for kicking Garrett in the head when down on the floor.

That’s beyond Burfict, horrible incident. Season over for Garrett, good job the helmet wasn’t the other way round when he hit him with it.0

Think Rudolph will also be getting a lot of heat when they review that back, looks like Garrett just acted in response to what Rudolph tried to do to him. No idea what the principle is here but I see Garrett out for at least half a season. Rudolph maybe a few games.0

I watched sky coverage but listed to Cleveland Bowns commentary, they felt that Rudolph had got his hand stuck in Garretts face guard and in trying to free himself caused the reaction from Garrett. That was at the time though so not sure what the post game analysis shows.

Injuries like that are going to kill the NFL. It just takes one succesful CTE related lawsuit and the whole house of cards will come crashing down.3 -
Wow, Garrett suspended indefinitely, minimum of this season and play-offs. Ogunjobi suspended 1 game and Pouncey suspended 3 games.0

Love watching Garrett. So out of character for him but suppose that's the knife edge a truly elite athlete plays on. Not excusable at all though and deserves the ban. A real shame.1

The NFL didn't want media there, i.e, didn't want the workout filmed. If they wanted to replicate a draft prospect workout, it's pretty common practice, especially for a QB, for it to be filmed. If it's not filmed what's to stop any narrative that he was rubbish being put out there? While Kaepernick isn't a hall of fame QB, he's also better than the likes of Jeff Driskel.0

Kap's primarily thinking about his legacy and the inevitable Hollywood biopic. Being a martyr for the righteous cause who turned his back on a dream job is a lot stronger than a player who limped back into the league and played poorly before fading away.0

Whatever you think of Kaepernick, there’s something distinctly shady behind the leagues offer.
There been zero Kaepernick chatter this season, other than the odd mention when a team picks some bum off the street when they are short of a QB. Then, out of the blue, this workout is scheduled.
The league never arranges individual workouts. Players do, teams do, agents and colleges do. The closest the league gets is the draft combine. So the league arranging a workout is unique.
Nobody who who knows how the league works could understand why it was on a Saturday. Every team works out players throughout the year. It’s always done on a Tuesday. That’s the players day off, so scouts, coaches and GMs can all watch a workout. Holding it on a Saturday guaranteed the decision makers will be absent, as they have a game to prepare for.
Then publicizing it, but wanting it held behind closed doors and wanting 100% control of the film, sort of implies the league wanted to control the narrative, regardless of how he performed.
Who chooses the receivers it up for grabs. Normally the organizer provides the receivers, but I can understand him being suspicious that they would roll out a couple of duds who can’t catch.
Conflicting stories about the waiver, but he says he would have done it under a standard tryout waiver, but they added an extra clause that he objected to ( and to me, that clause seems to be the logical objective of the league- get him to sign something that states he’s not guaranteed a job in the NFL)
I don’t care if he ever plays again, but whatever the league was up to, it wasn’t about giving him a shot at getting a job. All they have done is put this back at the top of social media again, so it’s backfired spectacularly.2 -
Tua's injury isn't as severe as Tecmo Bo's, who developed (I think) AVN. Due to the probable nature of Tua's injury, I don't think it will have the same impact. The medical advances in the last couple of decades have to be taken into account too.
However, this is still a very serious injury that I expect will have ramifications for his career.0 -
