So beating Spurs 7-2 at the Lane only gives you 1 month more in your job. How Bizarre.stackitsteve said:Niko Kovac sacked by Bayern

Winning a double and then 18 points from 10 games and doing well in the CL isn't enough I guess0

Didn't Woodgate have a reputation for being incredibly thick? He was nicknamed Village at Leeds, which was short for village idiot.4

The vast majority of footballers/managers are not renowned for their intellect.LawrieAbrahams said:Didn't Woodgate have a reputation for being incredibly thick? He was nicknamed Village at Leeds, which was short for village idiot.4 -

It's not so much the results, (although Kovac had Lewandowski to thank for keeping him in a job longer than he was), but more the fact that their style of play was boring, fans had turned against him, they were leaking goals and there was apparently a lot of unrest in the dressing room.Leuth said:Winning a double and then 18 points from 10 games and doing well in the CL isn't enough I guess
He had to go.1 -
Paul Heckingbottom sacked by Hibs. I hadn't realised he was up in Scotland, maybe Barnsley will re-employ him!

Hartlepool United are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement with Dave Challinor to join the Club as our new First Team Manager.
Following an exhaustive process, we identified Dave as an individual who will bring the necessary experience of the National League as well as a work ethic, track record and proven leadership, which we believe are essential ingredients as we seek to mount a serious challenge for promotion.

The North West does seem to have an awful lot of clubs, both the old traditional ones plus the up and coming ambitious ones (Fleetwood, Salford, Flyde). Morecambe themselves haven't been in the league that long.2 -
Seems Stoke are going after Michael O'Neill (Northern Ireland Manager)
Inspired choice or is this a club struggling to get its targets?0 -

I'm sure Michael O'Neill will get more attractive offers than Stoke
Chris Coleman was hot property when Wales manager than took the Sunderland job, a terrible decision for his career1 -

Fylde got to the play offs against Salford last season .. this season they are (I think) just above the relegation slots .. it's always volatile in the NLs .. someone puts in a good few quid and a team can have a blinding season or two .. the sugar daddy goes, no cash comes in, the good players go and the club nosediveskillerandflash said:

If memory serves (I wont bank on it), the Wales and N Ireland jobs at one time were part time and usually done by a league manager on his days off. Of course, today, there is much more international football.killerandflash said:https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50338483

Reports circulating that Mark Hughes!!!!! is the man Everton want if they get rid of Silva.
To say Everton fans have reacted badly to this news is an understatement.
Could be a well timed “leak” in my opinion to gauge fans opinions, although what reaction other than “no f-ing way” they would have expected is a mystery.1 -

Another dinosaur is the same bracket as Allardyce and Pulis. How the likes of Hughes and Pardew continue to get jobs is beyond me. I’m also not quite sure where Everton actually expect to be finishing in the league - if it’s top 6 then they are expecting too much.iaitch said:He's another one that keeps getting jobs but never seems to do much.0 -

They should be going for a younger, up and coming manager like Lee Bowyer Alex Neilricky_otto said:

Leak Hughes so if you keep Silva or choose anyone else a bit underwhelming (Moyes?!) it's not so bad by comparison maybe.stackitsteve said:Reports circulating that Mark Hughes!!!!! is the man Everton want if they get rid of Silva.
