Just give Darren Stevens another year. He already has 43 wickets at 19.00 with more games to play and has scored 322 runs at 21.47 when batting badly. There are specialist batsmen with contracts who have not done a lot better in recent seasons.

Jack Hobbs scored a Test hundred when he was 46. He hit 199 First Class tons so I suspect that he would have been older than Stevens to do so
