To be fair, that tweet looks like it’s Portsmouth vs Salford vs Leeds
which I definitely would watch. If nothing else but to find out the logistics of it, triangle pitch with 3 goals?
  • In fairness a side newly promoted to the football league at home to Leeds was always likely to be shown.

Surprised they didn't go for Wimbledon v MK Dons though instead of the Pompey game.

Good to see Leeds have two of their first three games on SKY

Nice rare chance for their fans to see them on the box!!

Probably because so few people support either club.

To be fair Salford didnt have great attendances themselves in the Conference last season either...

The whole world wants to watch Leeds though, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, apparently. I genuinely don't get it - they're quite a big club, record attendance of 57,000 is pretty mediocre, 3 league titles, 1 FA Cup, 1 League Cup. They were a great side from the mid-60's to the mid-70's, pretty crap generally for the rest of history.

Sky treat them as if we've got Real Madrid doing a stint in the Championship.

Good win for St Josephs(Gibraltar) today, drew the 1st leg against Prishtina(Kosovo) 1-1 and won the 2nd leg 2-0, 3 red cards in the game as well.

St Josephs up against Aribo and Rangers next
Wait are those two in the League Cup this season?

I know the Scottish Challenge Cup has teams from the British Isles but didnt realise we were doing it too ;)

Watch Jude Bellingham, the number 22 for Brum. He is my workmates best friends son. Was being tracked last year as a 15 yr old by a host of German clubs and Barca, his dad told him to stay here and finish his schooling and play in Brums U23 side. Tonight he is their youngest ever player to turn out for them in first team. He is supposed to be something very special!

Not been watching, just looked Portsmouth 3 up.

Unsuprising when u think that Birmingham made 9 changes to starting 11 and have 6 teenagers on the bench and 1 21 year old

Michael Flynn has told fans not to bother going to the game against Gillingham tonight, and he may not be there himself

    At least he's honest.

"Asked if he was taking the competition seriously, Flynn said: “No. I’m not taking it seriously. We’re going down on the day. There’s no competition money in there and I’ve got to concentrate on what’s important."

And they still won!! And now have a home game (and probable sell out) v West Ham next round.

What a start for Lincoln, goal after 30 seconds against Everton
  • Portsmouth v Southampton in the next round...

    3rd round draw

    Wolves v Reading

    Oxford United v West Ham

    Watford v Swansea City

    Brighton v Aston Villa

    Sheffield United v Sunderland

    Colchester United v Tottenham

    Portsmouth v Southampton

    Burton v Bournemouth

    Preston v Manchester City

    MK Dons v Liverpool

    Manchester United v Rochdale

    Luton v Leicester

    Chelsea v Grimsby/Macclesfield

    Sheffield Wednesday v Everton

    Arsenal v Nottingham Forest

    Crawley Town v Stoke City

  • Some decent ties there.

Colchester, MK Dons and Grimsby/Macclesfield all getting top premier league opposition. MK Dons might even go close to a rare sell out.

Pompey v Southampton probably the tie of the round. Sky will be itching to show Man U v Rochdale though.
