Bowyer will start with Phillips and then pick whoever is in the best form.Henry Irving said:SLP confirm that Philips will be No.1 and is the future2 -
@Redhenry, have you heard any whisperings of any signings anytime soon?1

Bowyer said 4 or 5 by next Friday hopefully.Redvalleyeast said:@Redhenry, have you heard any whisperings of any signings anytime soon?1 -
Bows has said we will have 4 or 5 more in by Friday. Taking into account none of the offered contracts have yet to be accepted how many players and in what posistion do we need before the end of August.
1 X Goalkeeper
2 X Full backs
2 X Centre backs
5/6 X midfielder
2 /3X fowards
I make that 13 on top of what we currently have.

Unless you are writing off Solly, we need 2 full backs. Agree with the restCH4RLTON said:Bows has said we will have 4 or 5 more in by Friday. Taking into account none of the offered contracts have yet to be accepted how many players and in what posistion do we need before the end of August.

Based on a 442 diamond that Bowyer adopts more often than not, we need;
1 GK
1 LB
2 RCB
1 DM
2 CM
2 AM
2 CF
I reckon we’ll only get 9 as oppose to the 11 needed, as we are always a forward short and one of the DMs will also be able to play RCB.2 -
If LB is looking for a GK how about Doncaster’s Marosi?4

Parker back at Gillingham, I read somewhere.killerandflash said:Bauer is the first of our out of contract or released players to be fixed up I think. I've not heard any rumours at all about the players we let go, the likes of Marshall, Reeves, Ajose, Parker etc
That was a joke, I read somewhere else.0 -
We have 11 players (including Lapslie and Morgan and excluding AMB and assuming no contracted players leave), so need another 11 to reach 22.CH4RLTON said:Bows has said we will have 4 or 5 more in by Friday. If 5 of those are loans, that leaves 6 permanent signings. I'm guessing JFC will stay, reducing this to 5.
If we get the likes of Cullen or Bielik back, it won't be until much later in the window

I wonder if we could get Da Silva back on loan again? Contrary to what's been posted elsewhere he's still at Chelsea and doesn't know where he'll be playing next season. Might prefer to stay in London rather than go back to Bristol City? no info just speculating.3

Anyone know if the giant at Gillingham is available? He'd be a great signing.9

Did you actually see any matches at all last season? How can someone who made a host of mistakes at Millwall be better than a keeper who was faultless for Charlton (other than the one slip at Wembley) in a promotion season.Webbja77 said:
Agree with this..J BLOCK said:If we signed Amos, he would be number 1 by xmas. Much better keeper than Philips imo.
I’m almost angry....
