I thought the most expensive ‘regular seats’ were in West Upper?golfaddick said:I too smell something fishy 're the home tickets. I went online last night & bought our 2. Golfie Jnr has a season ticket & although that was available there were none left next to it.......a whole line of 10 seats along that row were completely gone. I know for a fact that at least 4 seats directly next to his are not taken up by season ticket holders & on 9 out of 10 occasions this season I have managed to buy the seat next to him. I was flabagasted that the day after the tickets went on sale a whole 10 seats in the most expensive part of the ground (East stand, block F) had all been taken. Something is not right.0 -
stonemuse said:I noticed that although my Valley Gold is linked to my ticketing account, it stated it had expired which was not correct.
In case anyone has same, don’t worry ... Sharron at Valley Gold informed me it never expires, its just the way the system is set up.
I must say, Sharron at Valley Gold has been brilliant this morning. Not a word back from the club whatsoever.redbuttle said:
That's exactly what we did and it got sorted...The Red Robin said:
But even if your details were correct on this occasion, the club did make an error by not linking Valley Gold to people's accounts. They have admitted this error, admitted it was at their end and no fault of any fan trying to buy away tickets. It was only corrected when fans who were making sure their details were correct experienced and/or spotted it and emailed/phoned/tweeted the club to let them know.Covered End said:
If you regularly buy tickets, you will know your way round the site.clive said:
Same here, having been a critic of the ticket office staff/system in the past i can only say that the service has worked superbly all season for me.killerandflash said:My home and away tickets arrived in the post today, well done the ticket office staff
If you did as Charlton advised and checked you were all set to purchase, by adding family & friends etc, you shouldn't have had any problems, provided you read and followed the instructions.
The ticketing site could definitely be improved and isn't as easy to navigate as it could be, but it does the job sufficiently.
There are still historic issues with people having more than one a/c etc.
Personally, if I wanted to go to Wembley (assuming we make it), I would make damn sure that all my details were correct and ensure that I followed the instructions.
If everyone does that there should be few issues (other than technical glitches) and it will be far far easier than having to phone up and be on hold indefinitely.3 -

Annoyingly I have selected to print my tickets at home, and yet there's no option to print them.
I've been into the my tickets, and I can see they have been bought, but there's not printing option available to me.
Any ideas?
I've called the club and nobody seems to know!!0 -

I thought the halcyon days when we were counting down the number of remaining Valley tickets (for the 'Football For A Fiver' games) were long gone. Happily they are back - and it's compulsive viewing !5 -

Someone's getting ahead of themselves.Redrobo said:Wembley tickets will probably be more that two per person which should speed things up a bit.
I did note that Wembley charge children 16 and over the full adult price. I really don’t get why they think that parents of older children have much more spare cash to spend. Top A tickets were £80 so I won’t be buying those!
On the plus side, over 60s were half the price, as were all other concessions.3 -
I spoke with one prominent CL boycotter who still isn't budging, even when I pointed him to Lee's on-pitch plea to turn up. On that basis ( admittedly sample couldn't be smaller) its more the sleepers woken up by BowyerLargeAddick said:AFKABartram said:PragueAddick said:The home sales figures look seriously impressive to me. I am sure @Airman Brown will have a much better perspective, but It looks to me we will beat the figure for the playoff game against Swindon under Parky, when our core fan base was in much better shape. I think it augurs well for any Wembley showdown against either of those two big boys. I would think we could muster the 35k we took to the 98 final. All of which is pretty amazing with that dark duck taped shadow hanging over us, as Airman tweeted yesterday ( not with those words:)Its actually better than that @PragueAddick
We are already at roughly the home ticket sales for the 2010 Swindon game. Given what has happened in the last five years, I'm surprised (and delighted) at this.
Seems like I support hasn't completely gone away, its just been sleeping.

Correct. On the Saturday before the play-off final the club wouldn’t open the ticket office for what was left so @rockspectacle and I volunteered to sell the last of the tickets - mostly Olympic Gallery - from one of the plastic ticket offices in Harvey Gardens.MuttleyCAFC said:Uboat said:

Regarding Wembley, if we get there, I'm not so sure. Did we sell out in 1998? The Sunderland fans that day thought that we hadn't, but information was harder to come by in those days.
I think we sold out but they got a slightly bigger allocation, but that is just from memory which could be wrong
Charlton’s sales were impacted by the need to stop Sunderland fans buying our tickets in the days before the club had much of a database. But we did sell out, give or take a handful of top price tickets.0 -

Rightly or wrongly and I'm sure many will disagree but I'm the same. I've never been more tempted since my boycott started 2 years ago but I just can't go against what I've been doing.PragueAddick said:

Will they just sell tickets to anyone, or will some sort of ID be needed?1 -
I stand corrected on that, but my problem I had was my location, I was about 40/50 mile inland from Doncaster at the weekend for a wedding, no internet due to poor reception and I only had our tickets office number to ring the recorded message was spoken so quickly and distorted that it took 3/4 calls to take the number down, I then just wanted to renew my season tickets on the earlybird but it would only recognise one of them so I rang the other number but I assume they do not have access to my details due to data protection, that is when it would have been a good idea for the telephonist to have had access to a CAFC supervisor I have now emailed the ticket office and hope it gets sorted soon.Covered End said:
Sorry smurfd but our website clearly said the ticket office would only be open for home sales on the 15th-17th.smurfd said:
The cafc ticket phone line is just a recorded message, the other number given is as I was told by the girl who answered just an outside booking agency who did not have a lot of personal information available.
