    Farbrace has quit England to take over Warwickshire. We should now relieve Baylis of Test duties and let him go after the WC. We should now get someone in who understands Test cricket to start preparing for the Ashes.

    Interesting that Gayle's tactics could almost be considered old school, playing yourself in then exploding, rather than the more usual approach now of going hard from the start

    I imagine an in form Hales would have loved to bat on this, the sort of player who if he has a good day can smash a 150 in no time.

    Under strict instructions from the ICC, we had it in the recent Champions Trophy, believe me they will not be usual English pitches.
