Thought Klopp would get booked for running on the pitch.

He will. He ran to the middle of the pitch before the match was over. Imagine if managers did that after every goal? Should get a one game ban.
It's a sad day when you can't run on the pitch to celebrate a last second derby game winner!

    Great Super Sunday though

Ha. Is it safe to come out from behind the sofa yet?

Still absolutely seething that Poch thought it was appropriate to drop Alderweirald for the game against that lot. You play your strongest XI, without fail. If he needed a rest, he should have been rested Wednesday night, not against them.

If he doesn't go full strength against them in the League Cup, there's going to be a lot of unhappy punters.

Why do the media insist on screening you'll never walk alone like its some sort of national anthem, no talking over the top, poncy camera angles what a load of bollocks, most overhyped support on the planet, come on Everton

Was watching a Liverpool game the other week and Martin Tyler says 'Teams have a song but Liverpool have an anthem' lots of swearing in my house after that.

Shocking choice top leave him out, Pochetino does seem to have a weird amount of faith in Foyth
  • Good to see Rob Holding getting regular appearances for Arsenal, with Stones, Gomez and Maguire the first choices, the centre back position is looking a lot stronger for England now than it did a couple of years ago

Personally don't think rob holding is anywhere near the standard of the other 3.
  • Former England full-back Danny Mills was scathing of Klopp's behaviour on BBC Radio 5 live.

"I would like to think that Jurgen Klopp will get into trouble for that," he said.

"If other managers do that - and we know one in particular - he'd get absolutely slaughtered.

"It's absolutely shocking what Jurgen Klopp does. OK, go down the touchline a little bit, come out of your technical area, celebrate with your staff on the bench - I don't have a problem with that at all.

"But to run into the middle of the pitch, I think it's disrespectful to Everton.

"There are so many managers that get absolutely hammered but Klopp is very media friendly, everybody seems to love him and he can't do anything wrong.

"You cannot go on to the middle of the pitch, no matter what the circumstances."

Is it really Danny? It's not as if he punched an opposition player, he just over-celebrated a goal. Big fucking deal.

Perhaps Klopp was trying to get a ban over Christmas, oh Danny boy.

Loved Klopp’s celebration. It was a bit Luzon esque but you can get away with it when you’re as good at your job as Klopp is.

Luzon's passion was quite enjoyable... I'd love to see a bit more from managers.

  • Arsenal by far the better team even if Man U win this with one off Fellani’s backside.
  • It's as much City and Liverpool's ability not to concede, as it is their goals scored, is the reason that they are going to pull away from the rest. The likes of United and Arsenal are going behind virtually every game at the moment.

Indeed - but it was only the 6th goal they've conceded in the League this season and only the 2nd time they have done so. United, by contrast, have been behind in 9 of their League games and Arsenal haven't been in front at half time all season!

Southamptons late goal means all 20 teams scored this midweek

Arsenal still 19th in the half time table (completely irrelevant but surprising none the less)
Yet to be leading at half time this season. 11 draws and 4 defeats.
  • Spurs were winning 3-0. Now 3-2 as a result of Juan Foyth, making his PL debut, giving away not one but two pens. 10 mins to go.

One to watch for the future - Morgan Gibbs-White. Only 18 but looks like he has a touch of class.

By all accounts Gibbs-White had another great game, in one of his few starts, against Chelsea tonight. Still only played 72 minutes though.

Not sure if the date is true but seen someone say its the 1st time this has happened since November 2010

I’ve only seen Gibbs-White 3 or 4 times and most of those have been cameos, but he looks amazing.

If even half these English youngsters fulfill their potential we will have a special side by 2022.
  • An enjoyable MOTD, especially as I didn't know the scores tonight.
