    Oh god not again

It's the same old people who come back to haunt you. I'm told I should ignore them.

    Deary me James Seed.
It's almost like you have a penalty to win the game and turn round and score an own goal instead.
Not once, but twice in a matter of days.

I find it astounding anyone in the Aussie consortium believed they'd get away with that if true / or didn't realise that rule existed.

That is what I do not get.

If they thought they would get away with it, or didn't have the nouse (or seek advice) as to what the EFL fit and proper tests involved then I'm not sure they are any better than the chuckle brothers.

I believe neither is the case - it might be that the two investors had second thoughts but I cannot believe it was for having a significant interest in another English club.
These guys use lawyers so they’d know anyway.
    Precisely.
So why else would The EFL knock them back, I wonder?
Has this been confirmed by anybody?

Well? Anybody? This particular story is a load of bollocks. Isn't it?

    I believe it is.

It would appear that it's gone from the EFL are satisfied with the applicants of the fit and proper person test, with 'two qualifications', to the EFL have rejected two people from the consortium because they are linked with other Clubs.

Love to know who actually made that link and if they have, where did they get it from.

There's more smoke and mirrors in this takeover than a Paul McKenna show.

Guys, this is playground stuff. My advice would be, just don't talk to each other(however many there are squabbling). Not everyone gets on with everyone. We support the same team, let's just draw a line and stop this bickering.

Please for the 99.9% of other people on this forum.

All this infighting is not what I like to see. Let’s go together eh?

All well and good blaming RD. The facts are the Aussies got into a bidding war and didn't have the funds. Laughable

Is this the 5 minute argument, or the full half hour?

I don't think anyone here is going to fall for that ;-)
They decided to up an offer to outbid the Arabs when they didn’t have finances in place? Secondly going to a match wearing scarfs and sitting in the directors box, Michael Knighton only topped that.
    Did they really?

You're trying to get a response on here. It's not worth it. We're over the argument phase.
Why are you targetting me for the wind up btw?
What are you on about targeting you ??
Well you keep replying to me or using @jamesseed with hostile comments about the Aussies. It's just a bit obvious.
I haven't posted on here for weeks. Calm down dear.
    We can tell.
@JamesSeed with all due respect, if you don't want people to try and wind you up then don't make silly replies.
If I didn't make silly replies where would I be.
    Adulthood
Why do I, or anyone else for that matter bother.
    Because you like the attention.
Ooooh, a flag and two nasty pms. Back in the game, James, or whatever the fuck your real name is.
Oh dear. 23 abuse flags. Just saying.
You said a little more than that, Seed. That's enough pms.

    3 down.......2 to go.

    tick tock, tick tock.

    What does this mean?
we were told that RD had given the Aussies a deadline of the end of this month. Assuming it needs to be done before the weekend then we have had 3 days without anything happening & 2 days left.

tick tock is a clock ticking.......

My mate runs a corner shop. If punters spend more than five minutes browsing, he kicks them out.

Had a dream this was announced today and woke up part way through the night unable to get back to sleep. If it's not otos by the end of play today I'll be very disappointed in my precognition abilities.

This back and forth is very tedious and has gone on for too long. Please think twice (thrice even) before engaging. There's no way to win an "internet war", so don't bother trying. In the end, we all lose.

We try to edit without breaking the general flow in the hopes that the community benefits from a bit of self-regulating. On balance, we get it right more often than not. But from now on, we'll be deleting anything on this thread approaching sniping and bullying. We've gotten to the point in this sorry situation (on here and within the context of the wider club troubles) where this is necessary.

Send them to the pit of misery #DillyDilly

So unless anyone can show they have an inside track to the EFL, or can quote someone who clearly has that link, we can declare the "two Aussie investors barred by EFL test" story to be entirely without foundation. Good.

Deadline of this week to prove they have funds and second week of July to complete the deal:

    http://www.votvonline.com/home/the-2017-18-blogs/25-6-aussies-face-takeover-deadlines-as-ex-directors-refuse-to-play-ball/

We understand that Duchatelet has set a deadline of this Friday for the Aussies to prove they have the funds and the second week in July for them to complete the deal.
