Problem is, I don’t really believe anything Murray says. Or Duchatelet. And even the Aussies seem to have been giving us just half the story (the rosy picture).

Wouldn’t it be nice if the people involved actually gave a complete and joined up statement.

Are they allowed to. NDAs preventing that I feel.
Sorry Jim, but I don’t buy that.

They are ok to feed you and press snippets suggesting all is fine and dandy but it’s now very clear that they hadn’t got all their ducks in a row to complete the takeover - yet.
    "It's now very clear"?

This so called ‘British consortium’, which I believe only Murray has spoke of. He first mentioned this, what four months ago.

Is Murray a central part of this consortium? Is that why so little has leaked out about, if it does exist?

A mate who works at another London club told me that there is a rumour doing the rounds that Roland agreed a price based on the club as it stood each time yet continued to sell players without Aussie agreement.

    It doesn't exist, that's why.

    It's a seller's trick.

Remember the disinformation, the deliberate leaks to find leakers.

WIOTOS, that is the bottom line. Everything else is gossip.

Fuck this, I’m off to the butchers to buy bacon and white pudding for breakfast.

Have no idea what this deal amitri song is that NLA keeps referring to. Am hoping I don’t hear about it ever again.

Oh and Richard Murray, don’t bother showing your face at Charlton again

I can’t, I’m not around today. If Henry or someone else kindly does one, I’ll pin it to the bite size thread

The Aussies have made a serious attempt to buy a club that is massively overpriced. I don't buy those that say he is entitled to get as much of his money back. He has done a lot of damage. I could buy a Porshe and spend lots of money covering it in mink fur, but if I am stupid enough to do that, I have lowered its value no matter how much I paid to do it!

Just look at the state of the club today - in terms of staff and season ticket holders and league status! It is a testiment to this bastard's total mis-management. And now his stubboness and arrogance where he can't even put his hands up and say I tried and cocked it up. Apparently it is all Airman's fault!!!!!!!! If this falls through, we should announce that all bets are off. Our goal should be to damage his business interests as much as he has damaged our club. Yes, we need to be careful how it is done, but Charlton fans find a way and I would say it is in his best interests to bite the Aussie's hands off! It is in everybody's best interests!

    As I understand it

    - RD got hump with Aussies not getting things done quick enough.

    - Aussies got hump cos RD has made some decisions to cover his "expenses" over the time the Aussies are taking.

    - Now there's another "party" in the mix (or this may have been the case all the time).

Question - I'm sure I've heard well known and respected football club owners, past and present, say that you won't earn dough through owning a football club. I think I've heard the phrase "financial suicide". So, how do they go about getting other investors? What's the attraction?

I suspect the other party RD has mentioned is a figment of his imagination. Yes there may be a tentative interest behind it, but he has built it up to something more to pressure the realistic bidders!

What I can't comprehend is why did the EFL undertake the fit and proper person test if the selling price had not been agreed?

Surely the price had been agreed and to use the moving house analogy, binding contracts had been exchanged? The only way to avoid completion is if the buyer fails to produce the money.

It can't be because of gazumping. The only possible thing is if this so called other bid was also at the EFL for approval. I don't buy this as someone ie @Addickted would have heard.

    Hence my confusion.

Maybe the British bid has been mentioned is just to hurry up the Aussies...

I saw him walking out of the ground at 5.45pm with another bloke. The sale of Konsa and rumours of active cost cutting suggest it's all off. If so, we really will hit rock bottom this season.

How on earth did you restrain yourself?

Doctor kish saying about Igor next season being loaned out again to cut wages. Don’t understand this because his at his own club in Belgium so his still paying his wages.you think Charlton would be able to afford the wages more than a small club in Belgium.he must think there need is bigger than ours.

he no longer owns Still Truiden

this also happened about 4 months ago so hasn't really worked
  • The way I see it, the Aussies are stalling for whatever reason. RD is trying to hurry them up with player sales, a mythical 'British consortium' and appointing Bowyer. Have a feeling it will either be done or be off by 5PM today.

I keep telling you the 'British Consortium' is me.

I made an official bid to RD to purchase the Club back in September and upped my offer two weeks later as I had no response to my official bid.

I have a draft contract drawn up, I do not wish to progress further with any DD, my credentials are sound enough to pass the EFL fit and proper test and as a gesture of goodwill I even volunteered a holding deposit of £100 sterling for a period of exclusivity rights.

@nth london addick has agreed to be my fans board representative and I will hire @Goonerhater on a short term contract to carry out a review all employees for my change management plans.

Macauley Culkin isn’t British. If you swapped him for Yvette Fielding then I’d consider your gif accurate.
Only British people can react to news about the takeover?
I thought the gif was his suggestion of those involved in the British takeover, but you knew that ya goof

Ketts suggesting RD has gone home to Belgium after yesterday’s meeting with Muir.

Can I work every other Tuesday in the club shop? Always wanted to have a go on that massive iron. £5/hr or mates rates, whatever’s the lower?
