Only had two bets, both each way in the Champion Hurdle. Good double: last and second to last.

My builders are Irish, and their family in Ireland breed and train horses. He has a tip for Thursday, but hasn’t told me what it is yet. I’m always cautious about these sort of tips. They never seem to come in.

Have filmed interviews with various trainers over the years, and I can’t remember one of their tips coming in either.

Try filming Willie Mullins or Nicky Henderson

Gone each way on Testify in the last as it's won on heavy this season.

I'm also with the others on Mr Whitaker.

    Kiss of death probably. Sorry.

Think Mr. Whitaker took that on the line. Used a free bet refund on him. :-)

Tiebreaker, I presume. I'd guess it's a "Pick 4" (to win) competition and not everyone can win the prize, so... Yeah.

    Oh man that is gutting.

For the the breaker I chose 10 lengths as the winning distance by the 4 horses was a lot closer than that

Some big priced selections tomorrow for me. Don't have much interest in short priced favs at the best of times but even more so when the ground goes like this!

    13.30 MENGLI KHAN
    14.10 -
    14.50 SHANTOU FLYER
    15.30 FAUGHEEN
    16.10 KAYF GRACE
    16.50 SIZING TENNESSEE
    17.30 LE ROCHER

Followed you Nick each way. Finished ahead but Shantou would have made a big difference. Ran a great race.

    SPOTLIGHT's view
Fair win over 2m2f for Sir Mark Prescott on the Flat last summer; uneven look to his form over hurdles but won on his debut and ran well when closing second on handicap hurdle debut at Market Rasen last time; effective on soft and probably on heavy; up 3lb but this greater test of stamina is a significant plus for him and he promises to be suited by this race; shortlisted.

    Best of luck Killer.

Ohhhhhhhhh I see. That was unobservant of me.

I've got 1.5pts e/w on Oxford Blu (certainly more than my usual e/w stake), so no pressure Killer ;)
