Gibson sacked Southgate when they were in the top 6 and then appointed Strachan who very nearly got them relegated.2

All these vacancies, I worry that someone may come in for Karl.....
No? Oh, as you were then.....1 -

There are rumours that Monk was having talks with Swansea.killerandflash said:
Very unusual, especially for Monk to be sacked after a decent away win! Not like Steve Gibson to be so trigger happy, Boro are only 3 points off the playoffsgolfaddick said:
Not often you see both managers get sacked after the same match ! Perhaps they could just do a swap.... lol.killerandflash said:TWO more get an unexpected Christmas present of more time with their family, Monk at Middlesbrough and Carvalhal at Wednesday!

I had thought that perhaps Monk was looking at going back to Swansea & it might have been a "mutusl consent" sacking1 -
Leeds fans are cracking up at the fact he has gone and got sacked at Middlesbrough, which I don’t blame them for, he had his own agenda and thought he went to a bigger club when leaving Leeds, which so far this season has been proved to be the wrong decision and there is no chance Middlesbrough are bigger than Leeds.
So... Pulis to Middlesbrough maybe?
What other Premier League side is there that would actually appoint him now, he isn’t going for the Swansea vacancy, which I don’t blame him. Middlesbrough seems like the better bet of the two right now if he could go there and get them top six.
On a side note, when you actually look at the Premier League and go from Everton downwards, my goodness they are full of rubbish. There’s no way the league is anything as good as people think, just the top sides are very good and mainly exciting to watch, that’s it.1 -

Oh I'd love to see us replace Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship next season...

The Championship seems especially notorious for high managerial turnover, other than Mick McCarthy, nobody else has reached the 3 year mark at the moment!0 -

Lump on Meire. It all makes sense now...1

Ten points clear of the relegation zone after surviving on the final day of last season, what else is he meant to achieve.
Forest have some exceptional young players, and they properly need some stability.2 -
Totally agree. He's a good manager, and has been playing a lot of their youngsters. They're nowhere near relegation, and I reckon they would have been a challenger under him next season. Nobody takes a long or even medium term view now.SouthWest_Addicks said:Ten points clear of the relegation zone after surviving on the final day of last season, what else is he meant to achieve.

If I wasn't so desperate to see SCP back in the dugout, I'd be very happy with Warburton succeeding Robinson.
On a separate note, wtf is Steve McLaren doing at the top of that bookies list. He's like the new Bryan Robson, a year maximum and then it'll turn sour.0 -
I thought McLaren was first choice for the Sheffield Wednesday job?0

p.s I know we were never near relegation. But he did go 11 games without a win. Think about that for a moment.

Anyone know the Newcastle stoke result last night?4

My bad I didn't pay attention to the Premier League results yesterday
Ooo that's not good then... Sorry but he should go - He took the risk against Chelsea and it didn't come off!!0 -
Just got into the gym to see a new flash that Lee Clark had got the Swansea job with Liam Ridgewell. Carvahal didn't get long...
As I stand there further aghast at what football has become it slowly dawns on me that it is soccer AM.
Still, not as mad as KM rocking up at Sheff weds.0 -
Maybe Carvahal didn't play the Swansea way and they wanted someone like Clark to cheer everyone up.0

Tomorrow isn't it..?1StevieG said:Anyone know the Newcastle stoke result last night?
