Revolver for me. I love S & G (Simon especially) but there are a few slightly iffy saccharine tracks on Bridge Over Troubled Water. On Revolver even the potentially sentimental Eleanor Rigby has a cutting edge. Only Yellow Submarine nearly sinks the Revolver ship.

Revolver. Said it from day one will probably win. But it doesn't win this round by much

    Revolver.
  • I have not voted in this before. In my opinion Revolver is the best Beatles album, it is not just of its day but still is a great album now. BOTW is also a great album but not as diverse in sound.

Revolver it is by a country mile.

There are some great bits of music on Bridge Over Troubled Water, but, for me, Revolver wins this by a country mile.

Any other group releasing songs like Eleanor Rigby, And Your Bird Can Sing or Tomorrow Never Knows could rest well, knowing they'd reached a nirvana. The Beatles didn't. This album is a work of almost unimaginable genius.

Bridge OTW by a mile for me, but then I can't stand the Beatles.
  • Revolver for me I suppose...
Paul Simon at that time was just warming up. What he did on his own later (and still does) is pure gold.

Revolver. I heard it for the first time in the 90s.

It was called Revolver because the LP revolves (you already know that I’m sure).

BOTW is a great album, but I hate the title track.
  • Revolver

Much as I love the Beatles, the prospect of an all Beatles final is like then 2 English teams reach the Champions League final, somehow it loses a bit of excitement

Revolver wins by quality of songs and as an album.
  • Same as U boats comments, not a Beatles fan, and I always thought bridge over troubled waters was a great Album, so despite the voting above and hoping for a miracle it’s Bridge for me.
