It isn't quite as straightforward as that, though, is it? There will always be a difference between a joke that you choose to make about yourself and a joke that someone else makes about you. There's also a difference between someone that's close to you making a joke about you and someone you don't know well making a joke about you. Context is everything when it comes to humour. And, unfortunately, we still live in a society where it wouldn't be immediately clear that the motivation of a white stranger making that same joke was benign.eaststandmike said:Looks like response on Charlton Life too
