Sagan wasn't DQ'd just because of the incident with Cav. For that incident he was demoted places and had time added. He was then later DQ'd because other actions of his were deemed a danger to other riders at the end of the stage.

    Wrong.

Anyway - Cav & Sagan have moved on & there's still 2 and a bit weeks of racing to distract

Well that's not what Mnsr Marien said originally........... The president of the jury, Philippe Marien, said the referees applied a sterner sanction because the world champion “had put several other riders involved in the crash in danger”.
As you say it's done now and we look forward to the rest of the race.

Has anyone got a velogames team? We should do a CL league next year.

I thought Boassen Hagen had it but you can never write off Kittel.

Roll on the mountains, those last two stages have been a tough watch on TV.

Roll on the mountains, those last two stages have been a tough watch on TV.

With Kittel having no real challengers its making the Sprints boring, was worried about this even when Cav was at risk of missing the tour from the beginning.

Definitely need some big category climbs even with descents to add some proper drama

Great ride by Calmejane especially after the cramp attack.

Yeah thought the worst when I saw that... Could be a good stage tomorrow though with the Grand Colombier involved

Don't know how Porte managed that, amateur mistake. Looks bad nonetheless, hope he's okay.

Taken himself completely out of the race and Martin out of GC contention.

    Easier said than done.

AG2R have looked reasonable today, and Bardet is well placed.

Dan Martin's chances, however, of anything other than a stage win, may be gone.

While I hate to see the crashes, days like these are why I love the Tour.

An engrossing stage, from the first climb to the finish line.

Thomas is a big loss for Sky.

An incredible day, so much happened but Froome deserved to keep the yellow.
  • Very exciting watch - Frome looks in control.
