New branding from Sky today I believe.

Moved from the menacing black to the purity of white

Each UCI Team are allowed to use a different kit for one Tour each year...

SKY did exactly the same last year using their opportunity @ the Tour De France by having a yellow stripe down the back instead of light blue

Interesting listening to the riders going into the studio after finishing. Definitely sounds like there is hope that Cav can add to his stage wins.

    Sky already looking strong.

Ooo that looked so very painful...

Hope he's okay but what does that do for Quintana's race... He's just lost his right hand man

Martin doesnt beat Thomas' time... Froome is flying and Porte got too scared of the rain - Tour could be over already at this rate.

Stage One going to either Geraint Thomas or Chris Froome now, no one else seems to stand a chance - Loving le Tour already this year, bet the French are too... Great start from the Brits

Four Sky riders in top-8, Geraint gets the yellow jersey and Froome already takes time on his main rivals.

    Not a bad start

absolutely delighted for GT finally getting a stage win. a proper super domestique who always puts it on the line for others, it's great to see him get a bit of glory for himself

Agreed, they didn't even cover him until he was close to the line.

Always the same with French tv, only concentrate on French riders and GC contenders. It was obvious from the splits GT was going to be very high up they should have switched.

Probably their pathetic way of getting back at the fact that Britain are suddenly doing so well at the Tour.

Amazing performance though, from the first split he was 1sec down on Tony Martin's best time but then found an additional 12secs to get ahead of the World TT Champion!!

to have 35+ seconds on your GC rivals already is a great start from Froome, if you think he can probably put another minute into them in the time trial at the end, its looking like a long 3 weeks for the rest already

You can lose a lot in the alps though, or running down the road if decisions go against you..,,

There's plenty of surprises left in the Tour for sure.

I don't really enjoy the time trials as a spectacle but very much looking forward to the rest of the race....

So pleased for Geraint. He clearly learnt how to go fast in the rain at the Commonwealth Games Road Race in Glasgow in 2014.

Wish I'd thought about that earlier and put a bet on!

Although I think Froome probably has it in the bag (He'll get another min or 30secs from the next TT) its proven with Valverde and others years it'll only take one peleton crash or another wet day and it'll all be over

    Superb ride by Thomas.

Valverde has broken his knee cap. Shame for him but being Quintanas wing man it knackers the Colombians chance.

Today must have shortened Va Va Froome's odds.

35km to go in todays Stage...

Cavendish was up there when the Sprinters reached the Intermediate Sprint but didnt really contest it.

Was that because he's fit enough to actually challenge for todays Stage or was it to make his rivals think that he's fit enough for todays Stage - We'll find out in the next 30mins or so

Ooouch, looks like someone's bike just went away from them on the corner - Luckily there are plenty involved who should be able to bring it back to the peleton
