We will probably play Portugal on Tuesday because they have an easy match against Macedonia.
On that showing I think we would give Spain a good match, if we can get to the final.0 -
Bit weird how they work out who we'll play next.
As I understand, we'll play the "best runner-up" unless that best runner-up is from our own group ie Slovakia. So that group of teams include any of Portugal from Group B, or Germany, Czech Republic & Italy from Group C.
If the best runner up is Slovakia, we'll play the winner of Group C. That could be either Germany or Italy.But not the Czech Republic as they already lost to the Germans.0 -
Just realised that the Czechs could still win the group if they beat Denmark and Italy beat the Germans. That would lead to a three way tie between the teams on points and head to head record, so goal difference would be used to decide who wins the group.0

Based on their showing the other night, Italy are pretty unlikely to beat Germany.
So it's basically down to a shoot out between the Czechs (who should beat Denmark) and Portugal (who should beat Macedonia). Both have 1 win and 1 loss and have scored 3, conceded 3. Either of them need to win by 4 goals to overhaul Slovakia as best runner up.0 -
