Conversation with Katrien on Facebook - ground developments?

I've thought for a while now that they are going to give it one more go.
They think they've found 'the' man in Robinson and they are going to give him full reign over everything on the football side. Staff , players the lot. The Curbishley way you could say.
Unfortunately Robinson is no Curbs. He'll f*** up royally. Be out on his ear by September/October leaving Roland frantically trying to sell the club before year end.
Just a hunch.4 -
Worth adding that this amazing 3 wins from 4 games streak included the bottom 2 relegated / practically relegated clubs! Fair enough we beat them so there are some teams in the league that are worse than us but it hardly means the world is now all rosy! The other 98% of the year has been a massive failure.9
-
Who here is surprised that we picked up a few wins when there was absolutely nothing left to play for?
But Katrien thinks that we should be impressed that we were only 12 points from 'fighting for the playoffs', and some are saying we need to give these fuckwits a 5th or 6th chance because they say this time will be different - for absolutely no discernible reason whatsoever.
Fucking hell these people are dumb as planks.21 -
They have to go NOW.
The longer they stay the more suffering for the fans.4 -
Its just a constant stream of bullshit coming out of Daisys mouth and people still chose to believe it,after everything. Unbelievable Jeff.1

"Unsafe away end." Yes, and how about the ones at Gillingham, Bradford, Wimbledon, Swindon, Bristol Rovers, etc etc.
More lies and BS, it doesn't really matter if it's from Meire or a semi-literate apologist. Just **** off.16 -
More crap, rumours and bullshit ,... I renewed my season ticket this season but will never return again whilst RD etc are here. Next Sunday is my last game until they go.3

Blah, blah, blah...players let us down...blah, blah, blah...mistakes made...blah, blah, blah...better next year...blah, blah, blah...improvements to the ground...blah, blah, blah...could have been worse...blah, blah, fecking blah.
Nothing ever happens, nothing happens at all
The needle returns to the start of the song
And apologists sing along like before...12 -
They would have to turn their football ownership ideology on its absolute head, come out with several apologies and grovel to the fans for anyone to give them a proper another chance. Even then there would still be many that would not give them the time of day.
All RD had to do was appoint a CEO or Director of Football which knew the game, understood English football and invest. Chris Powell would have been able to buy players to mount a push to the Premier League, and he would have been way better off.
Now he's in an absolute mess on and off the pitch, and he has no idea how to get out of it!
KM, RD, KR and whoever else from the club's empty rhetoric and punch lines hold no weight, only actions, and let's be honest the best action they can do is to sell up and leave so we can rebuild.

He spends every year but he spends badly and without planning or understanding what is required so at the next window and/or the next manager they have to spend again while still paying for the previous mistakes.NapaAddick said:I would not be totally surprised if RD actually spent this next year. He might actually be realizing after this season that relegation costs more than the transfers necessary for a promotion fight.
There is precedent.
The owner of Newcastle is very much like RD and he hates to lose money. But after being relegated last year he realized that it actually costs less to get back up than the amount you lose in enterprise value by being relegated. So he changed course, spent a ton this offseason and they are going right back up to the PL.
The counter-argument to this "new leaf" theory is the fact that RD has no idea how to actually win and does not realize that you must lose a LOT of money to do so. Cost cutting and "going-up" are negatively correlated.

-De new home dugout will be ready for next season, huh? De Scouser has been bending my ear, Katrien.
-It is number one priority. I have personally ordered the construction and we are ahead of schedule. We feel we can manage without a paddle, as usual.3 -
Their is nothing wrong with The Jimmy Seed Stand. More B.S.0

"South Stand is becoming unsafe"
Now, this sounds familiar.!
@Big in Brasov might be able to confirm, but i recall having a conversation with one of the STVV fans (the bloke who ws interviewed by ITV), who told me they were given exactly the same storyline by RD when he wanted to redevelop the home end at St Truiden some years ago,and moved them to the away end- despite protestations from the fans.18 -
Daisy talks a good job but she is incapable of delivering anything of note because she doesn't know how too.0

How is the Jimmy Seed stand becoming unsafe exactly? If it was in any way an unsafe or unsound structure then no away supporters would be allowed in. It sounds like a pretext to move away supporters, so that they can sell / redevelop part of the ground for housing. Duchatelet wants his money back & will turn Charlton into the new Orient to do so. Their plan has got to be stopped.15

When's the ground safety certificate due for renewal?1

These people are a cancer on the club and they will kill us, that is becoming increasingly clear... Even if we had massive success (no chance) under these people it would still not be Charlton, it never will be, it's not possible, you can't walk into a club with our history, our people, and run it like a business, stripping it of it's essence and then still think it is the same thing, it's not.
They have to go, if CAFC is to ever be the football club we all know and love.4 -
I read somewhere recently that the council have concerns and ask repeatedly in safety conversations about the clubs plans to address the asbestos in the roof, iirc the club are taking a wait and see approach but concerns were noted about damage being caused by trees in the vicinity.vff said:How is the Jimmy Seed stand becoming unsafe exactly? Sounds plausible to me that the closing of blocks in east west followed by moving of away fans is a softening up of then closing jimmy seed stand on safety grounds/cost to fix before some form of redevelopment

It is always things will be better tomorrow with this shower! I can't believe some fans still have hope. They don't know what they are doing. They could have spennt a small amount of money in the winter window and had us pushing for the play offs - it is always ifs and buts and excuses.3
