Attempting to raise capital makes it sound like they have no money man behind the scenes.

Australian FC website I hope is fake. Looks amateurish.

Worst case scenario is that we're lumbered with cheap Australian youth players, in exactly the same way Roland operated.

"The Australian Football Consortium Ltd is an unlisted public company that has been established to acquire an underperforming English football team and elevate it to the English Premier League."

    No shit?

    What they worth?.
  • I believe it would be feeder as in the aussies come to us to develop with us
  • Unfortunate use of the word "feeder"... Hm.

Only question I raise about this word is how can we become a feeder club when they dont already have any other clubs?

Would it just potentially be a case of the best and brightest Australian kids coming to our Academies? (like with Ashley Maynard-Brewer)... Either way surely it wont be easy because of Work Permit reasons? - i.e. they can't just send any kid over surely as it'll be like when we had that deal with the club from Ivory Coast where we were going to sign the next Didier Drogba only the players we did sign had to go play in Norway and France before never coming to Charlton.
  • Odds on our resident smutmeister cracking the being big down under pun..?

At least with Roland there is no worries about going under financially.
    This sounds shady at best.

Aussie FC website states a 55m AUD figure. That equates to just under £33m.
  • Sounds dreadful on first look.

    Roland down under.

On a plus note I bet the potential buyers think that if they buy the club they'll be immune from protests on their doorstep because they're so far away.

Ready to step up to the plate @OzAddick and become the Aussie One if need be?

So they don't even have the money to buy us yet, let alone invest in the team?
  • What they worth?.

"Australian Football Consortium Ltd (AFC) are currently attempting to raise the capital necessary to buy out the Belgian..."

    Ummm...

First name to break cover, will possibly encourage others to do so.

In RD's interests if he can provoke a bidding war.
  • "Australia's first premier league football club"

    What the actual fuck?
  • Spivs, Belgian loony, Aussie nursery club. What could possibly go wrong?

What does a period of exclusivity mean? That they're the only people allowed to bid?
