Juventus v Barcelona

Barcelona in an unorthodox system. A three man central defence with the right back playing in an advanced position, but no left wing back. 3-1-3-3. Mascherano as the holding midfielder.

Matthieu has to cover the left centre back position and left back. The Juventus opening goal comes from the vacant left back area.

Juventus in a standard 4-2-3-1. Nice finish by Dybala.

Dybala is making diagonal runs into the space outside of Mathieu from the no.10 position and causing real problems.

What a player and only 23!
  • Ridiculous pass from Messi, Iniesta should've scored
  • And now it's 2-0, superb finish from Dybala.

Dybala is quality. First time a lot of casual UK football fans will have watched him.

Juve's manager has got this spot on. He would be mental to leave for England.

Niggly fouls now disrupting any rythm Barca are trying to create. Gotta love Italian teams.

Where's @forzajuve_27 , he must be loving this? Juve have gone all Catenaccio after going 2-up.

This season will likely be their third consecutive league and cup double since he took charge, maybe he wants a new challenge instead of walking all over italian football every season?

Khedira on a free has been one of, if not the best bargain in football in recent years.

Juventus are on another level at home.
Was really surprised they were as big as 9/5 tonight.
Hope they get another 2 or 3

How many top strikers have Argentina produced in the last 10 years? Ridiculous!

Think he's building something bigger than just domestic titles. Obviously if they win it this year then he might feel it's done.

Not really seen much of Alex Sandro at left back for Juve but he looks absolutely brilliant.

The defensive set up at corners for Barca is a big weakness. Mascherano marking Chiellini is a problem. Mathieu is struggling with Bonucci.

Barca have to change to their usual 4-1-2-3 for the second half. They are allowing too much space in the full back areas.

Was listening on R5, then realised that Czech TV have it, so got the last 3 minutes.

Note the injury time in the first half. All of 15 seconds. I tell you, in England, we are playing different rules on this.

Just looked it up, since they lost at home at this stage to Bayern in 2013, they've lost at home only TWICE! Once in the coppa italia, once in Serie A.

2 home defeats in 4 years, it's on a par with us really.

Barca back to their standard 4-1-2-3, with Mascherano at CB, Umtiti at LB, Andre Gomes as the holding midfielder.

Chiellini at the first corner of the second half. LOL.

Let's face it, it took a miracle (plus some dodgy decisions) to get Barcelona through in the last round, as a team they've got serious flaws which need addressing by the next manager

Juve worked it out and worked a corner to isolate Chiellini. Brilliant.

That may have been a half-time analysis or Chiellini telling the manager he had the beating of Mascherano.
