Why does the fans forum need money raised for it?

  • Picket it.

no. Leave it with the fans to organise as before.

It's been run fine by fans since the event began.

Meier & co proved a couple of years ago they didn't have a clue how to run a family fun day in pre season. Want to do something family inclusive, then get this right instead of meddling with a fans event presumably because they don't want to give up an evening.

I'd argue that the idea of making it more inclusive isn't terrible if taken in isolation. However, the timing and execution is once again lacking from the club.

You can. Suggest them to Ian Wallis @killerjerrylee

The initial proposal has already been rejected at the last fans forum by fan representatives and yet they are still trying to push it through.

The trophies don't belong to the club, so the event does belong to the club.
  • They haven't thought the timing through, either.

We'll all be on the pitch protesting at 2:30pm, right?

    :-)

And the players will have come straight off the pitch to the event after what could be relegation.

Cross bars/millennium lounge will have to be cleared and won't be available to ordinary punters.

People will have to come straight from the game to the event too so no time to change.

It all smacks of lazy Meire not wanting to make another trip to the Valley and of "it happens in Belgium"

If they want to make it inclusive, it might be an idea to invite our owner to hand out the awards.

    The proposal sounds rubbish.
  • Ah that's nice of them it's my birthday.

Err no thanks, why spoil the day sitting in a room with a SMT and squad of players who have done their level best to ruin the previous 8 months of my life.

Happy to share the day with any fellow addict, I will be in Broadstairs. Hopefully not mourning our relegation, but certainly fearing for the next season.

The club have bigger fish to fry and sprinkle their vinegar around, than interfering in something that has run well for years.

Reading the minutes from the last fans forum meeting, the majority told them to poke their idea.

The opening slides sum it up for me 'CA are more than just the men's first team'......

I think we know that (hence some of the awards), but jeeez it's called Player of the Year for a reason.

Personally as a supporter of the woman's team and I sponsor a few players it would be nice to see them there, but ultimately it's been successful for years so bar a few tweaks just leave it be........ especially in the current climate where at every turn they upset supporters you'd think this would be left alone.

What's this supporter's council thing? Never heard of that before?
