Cross bars/millennium lounge will have to be cleared and won't be available to ordinary punters.
People will have to come straight from the game to the event too so no time to change.
It all smacks of lazy Meire not wanting to make another trip to the Valley and of "it happens in Belgium"

Also, "It happens in Belgium" is probably the leading mentality in our demise.
For example, the completely packed bar (that was bigger than crossbars by a distance) at STVV, complete with a DJ etc for many hours after the game. That's what happens in Belgium. Try and do that at Charlton and you get Lady T in crossbars wanting to kill herself.
That can be extrapolated throughout most of the decisions made and you can start to come to the conclusion that ... English football may be different.16 -

Also can you imagine the atmosphere if we'd just been relegated in that final home game? I'm sure the players and fans would be on great form!

KM has some neck on her doesn't she? In one sentence she says that RD owns the club and not the fans so we cannot say what he can and can't do. Then in the next breath she starts to tell the fans how to run an event that isn't hers..!!

I cant see the award for 'owner of the year' so its not that inclusive.
I think it is insulting to @Fanny Fanackapan and @killerjerrylee to suggest that things should be improved by a bouncy castle and face painting.
On the flip side I am looking forward to the clubs white paper on the next protest and how they could improve them as well.21 -

She tried to mess about with it last year and failed and I think the PR bods would realise it would be another PR disaster to be avoided. They only have to read this thread to see that and we know the club read this site.4 -

It's her idea alright. She hated not getting her own way last year, and seems determined to ruin this year's. @Fanny Fanackapan and @killerjerrylee have done a fantastic job for many years and would continue to do so without her interference. If we can't have OUR POTY dinner, then we should all tell her to shove hers!27

I would like to say that the concept of collaboration is a good one.
If what the club lists are proposals and not an imposition then it is possible to discuss things.
The proposals as far as I can tell have not been thought up by any supporter group and are entirely the idea of somebody at the club it seems.
I won't dismiss everything on principle because they come from the underlings of Roland Duchatelet and Katrien Meire.
A few initial random thoughts.
They say £35 for a two course meal is 'affordable'. None of the club people actually pay so they have no idea what is affordable, but £35 for the most miserable vile crap I have eaten is not affordable but a complete rip off of epic proportions.
A packet of crisps and a bottle of water would have been nicer than the awful rubbish served two years ago, and that would cost £2 not £35. The in house caterers are providing unadulterated chite which doesn't matter to club people because they don't have to pay for it.
Who wants a dinner in the middle of the afternoon?
They say it appeals to families but want to corral children into a corner, how 'inclusive' is that?
They will launch a supporter council or something and I would want to know how representative and democratic that will be, because the Trust exists as a representative formal body and doesn't need replicating, unless the club means they will continue to try to re shape supporter groups until they create something acceptably supine and malleable.
If the club are serious about consultation regarding these proposals who do they consult with?

Just love the timing. There are no limits to her incompetence even when gagged with masking tape.
Is there really anyone on this planet in the mood to give her 35 quid for anything, let alone a POTY dinner after the most embarrassing and disastrous season in the club's entire history.
I would rather stick hot pins in my eyes while listening to Sir Gobby 'Gobshite' Knobinson's top ten post match press briefings.

As I said before though at the weekend Fanny was of the opinion that they were still running it and the Club had dropped their plans to do so so will be interesting to hear Fanny's views now.3 -

Just a few thoughts. It seems to be running fine (not the usual CAFC way lately) so the idea of radically changing it seems misguided at best. I was also under the impression this had been shot down at the fans fórum, so it seems less than democratic to be raising it again after the fans fórum is no longer there to prevent it. There may be a way of discussing improvements, but the way it has been brought back after 'consultation' with the fans fórum suggests someone with big boots wants to stamp their aithority on an event that the club hasn't previously run. Again, if it ain't broke, fix it till it is.
Finally, with legue 1 coming down around our ears, do we really, honestly need input form the people who have so successfully emptied the stadium and bought the season ticket sales down to 1990 levels to engage in a previously successfull event. I won't even begin on the slight offered to the events organisers but the suggestion is that someone feels they have done a less than adequate job previously, and f that someone is Katrien, she should seriously consider some sort of profesional help as she seems out of touch with reality.
Get the first team winning before looking for new things to fuck up!12 -
If you ever question the ridiculousness of how she is CEO of an entity that is first and foremost about the people that support it, then the sight of her at last years event with three security guards forming a defensive triangle around her that The US President would have been proud of, and having to sit at a table of her female employees and Trust CEO only, then that was it.38
