Have you known any player come back from the ACN quickly? Never happens, they all take a few days more.

Why rush back to the freezing cold!

In defence of the players, their travel arrangements are generally made by their national Football Associations.

Without wishing to cast any aspersions (because European FAs can be equally slow), it would be very unlikely that arrangements would be in place to ensure immediate return - on a cost basis, if nothing else.

I have a vague memory of AC Milan laying on their own executive jet to get players back more quickly in the past from the African Cup of Nations (though, as I associate this with George Weah in his pomp, not surprising) and of individual European players doing the same coming back from the Euros or World Cup, so they could get away on their holidays.

I thought that 13 minutes with 5 on refs coming out and answering questions after a game little bit on push for the play offs then Liverpool spurs.......

Watched it live on FB. Was the worst press conference I've ever seen. Barely even mentioned Charlton in it.
