Without wishing to cast any aspersions (because European FAs can be equally slow), it would be very unlikely that arrangements would be in place to ensure immediate return - on a cost basis, if nothing else.
I have a vague memory of AC Milan laying on their own executive jet to get players back more quickly in the past from the African Cup of Nations (though, as I associate this with George Weah in his pomp, not surprising) and of individual European players doing the same coming back from the Euros or World Cup, so they could get away on their holidays.0 -
