If big Mac out for a while, should we not be going in for someone like John Akinda from Barnet or Omar Bogle from Grimsby? Both big lads who score a few - especially Akinda. Should be in his prime.1

Akinde has only scored in the conference or in league 2 - suspect that is his level. Bogle has bigger suitors than us and has been strongly linked with Leeds. No chance of signing him.

I should imagine it is because we are a basket case of a League One club and the chubby Scouser wasn't able to bull shit enough (a stretch I know...) for the player to entertain a move to SE7.
