BARTLETT JUNIOR ON TOON RADAR
Newcastle United have reportedly offered a contract to Tyrique Bartlett, the son of former Premier League striker Shaun, after the teenager impressed during a trial spell on Tyneside.
The 17-year-old is said to have signed a three-year-deal and is to join the under-18’s set-up at United with the club now awaiting on international clearance.
The striker came on as a substitute in an Under-23’s game on December 29, as Burnley were thumped 7-0. He replaced Tom Heardman who had netted a hat-trick in the game.
Bartlett had been playing for University of Pretoria’s youth team where his dad Shaun, who played for Charlton Athletic, is the manager for the senior side.0 -

I've rated Foster-Caskey since he was a part of that England U-17 team with Jordan Cousins, Nat Chalobah, Brad Smith, Raheem Sterling, Nathan Redmond, etc. He's someone I said would be good for us to look at last year. Good range of passing, great left foot, decent work rate. That said, it sounds like he's really struggled to break into the Brighton team on any sort of regular basis. Think he'd be a great addition at this level. Could play in the "double 6" role, the 2 in front of the defense in a 4-2-3-1, or in the 10 role.
Good start to the window for me. Hope the move is permanent.2 -

Wouldn't be too encouraging to see Carruthers and Reeves go to Sheff U. If we get Reeves and F-C I'll be happy but they're clearly players Karl has Earmarked and if we're not getting any of them somethings wrong.3

Get in Carruthers, Reeves, Forster Caskey and a new striker and LB
Release Johnson, get rid of Ba, Lookman already gone, Fox heading off, pay off Cellabos, Vet and Sarr. Loan out Lapslie, Edwards and one or two of Hanlon, Ahearne Grant and Umerah. Promote Jackson to coach.
Job done.
