Liked him at Hudds.
Seems like another sensible signing.3 -
Manager Russell Slade said: “I’m really pleased to be able to welcome Lee to the club. He has shown a consistency at both Championship and League One level, is a proven goalscorer and his work ethic is phenomenal as well.
“Lee is a real team player, will run and stretch teams, and help us to link our play. He’ll be a real pest to centre-halves and won’t give them a minute’s peace, and that is exactly what we want. All-round Lee will be a really good signing for us.”

Early start at the Valley today...?2

See Katie gets a special mention again, does she think we are stupid?19

Doing the right things at the moment. British manager, sensible signings. Credit where it's due. I just hope they let Slade manage now.13

Nothing will convince me that these are the right people to run our club.Vincenzo said:Doing the right things at the moment. British manager, sensible signings. Credit where it's due. I just hope they let Slade manage now.

Really wanted us to sign Novak when he was at Huddersfield so I'm happy with this one. Two decent signings so far, though I could do without the forced Katrien name dropping18

Two very good signings0

Is this the champagne super fellow?1

Good start to the day.0

Hopefully the coin is finally starting to drop. I still hate them but it's like having your mother in law around, sometimes you've just got to take that shit until you divorce.21
-
Well if the CEO went, I'd start going again. Early days, but the team seems to be approaching the season with a logic. But I can't forget and forgive us fans being disrespected and insulted by her.3
-
2 new signings, both have mentioned Katrien in their comments. Laughable.
Looking forward to seeing how many Man U signings mention wanting to work with Mourinho, but would like to thank Ed Woodward for getting the deal done.
Aside from that though, seems a decent signing. Maybe they are going to let Slade do things his way9 -
It is a cynical manipulation, and the fact she insists on them mentioning her only undermines her further. She really is thick!!!!! I have no qualms insulting somebody who has no qualms disrespecting and insulting me, which she has done on numerous occasions through her words and actions.15

Tend to agree because of what we know but I have to say that meeting her without prejudice is quite a charming experience.MuttleyCAFC said:It is a cynical manipulation, and the fact she insists on them mentioning her only undermines her further. She really is thick!!!!!

Decent signing. Strong presence up front with a proven track record at this level. Seems that Slade is impressing these players and they want to come and play for us. It's a massive step forward for us, despite the fact we have feckless goons in charge. Both players so far are nothing like the type of players we've had forced on us before, both English, both look decent, and they aren't just cheap young players that the regime hopes might make us some cash in the future.
So in the last couple of days we've had two bits of good news. Katrien must be due a clanger to go and ruin it all.9 -
Looks a really sensible signing; strong, mobile, works hard, and scores with both feet plus his share of headers.1

Getting some signings in before they announce the departures of Tex, Bauer, Pope, Cousins, JBG, Watt, Lookman and Igor.4 -
Genuinely a very decent signing at our level. He could well be a very good player for us.
Good signing, but it looks like the lessons have all been learnt after any good will from a significant proportion of the fanbase (myself included) has completely disappeared.
Novak in, Roland out.9 -
2 good signings in 2 days, and well before pre season training. Actually having a manager in place clearly helps, and Slade does seem to be someone players want to play for
Things are looking up (on the pitch anyway)4 -
Another good signing. There certainly seems to be a change of direction from the owner which is good to see. It's a shame this change has come far too late for some, including myself.
Welcome Lee. Roland out!6 -
Both are solid signings and no one can really complain. My only gripe is that it’s taken relegation for them to realise what kind of players we need.16

A nice start to the day.
With all the hard work she's putting in, perhaps it's time to accept Katrien is a good CEO and Roland knows what he's doing?
No, sorry, can't keep a straight face after having written that. Roland out!!10 -
It's encouraging to hear Slade talk in a bit of depth about his admiration of the player and what he brings to the table. Similar comments under previous managers have seemed a bit vague at times. Slade knows exactly what he's getting.4

Hmmm now where did I put those season ticket application forms?5

Another fantastic signing and all credit to Katrien for doing a great job in securing their signatures. She is now showing what we all knew deep down, and that is that is a brilliant CEO who commands the respect of players at the club and those that want to be at the club. We are cleraly lucky to have her on board at Charlton.
As for RD - he has obviously listened hard to the fans and is making all the right changes and throwing money at signings. So full respect to him. Clearly we are very lucky to have him on board at Charlton.
I'm sure Murray was intrumental in getting them both to reflect on their time at the club so far and for changing their approach to running the club. Clearly we are lucky to have him on board at Charlton.
Overall I couldn't be happier and think I will rush down to the Valley at some point over the next week when I can fit in around a one hour slot when the ticket office is open, and buy 18 season tickets for myself and my family. To think we boycotted last year, now seems crazy! What were we thinking?
I've been well and truly won over. "Long live the Network!!"46
