Time to Target Murray

Certainly the bulk of our effort needs to be directed at Duchatelet and Meire but Murray is supposed to be a supporter and as far as I can tell has remained deaf, dumb and mute. He's supported Meire at every step of her misguided and lying way. He's allegedly blocked ovatures from a Varney led consortium and has been every bit as culpable in our demise as the other two. He's there (insert laugh) to engage with the fans. So Mr. Murray say something. Anything. Where exactly do you stand ? I realise he has a financial stake in any future success but that's secure regardless of his position or attitude. He once had legendary Charlton status within his reach but now as far as I am concerned he's the easier target of the people we can get at this summer.
Mr. Murray you are a disgrace and beneath contempt.

For me, he has lost all that made him one of us. He should leave, and leave now. There is no way that I can accept him in any official capacity representing CAFC.9

Disappeared at half time along with Miere, wonder if Roland was on the blower.2

Hound him to hell.2

There's more logic in that than pestering KMs dad1

For me he has just come over as a weak, spineless old man in all this.
He has been a big part of the problem.3 -

I was going to start another thread on Murray but will include my comments here.
I recall Murray telling us all that his studies of the budgets and players wages almost always resulted in direct correlation to the position that the team ended up in at the end of the season.
Airman told us that Murray is fully behind Roland and that they are good for us (or words to that effect), yet he knows that this season we have had the third smallest budget in the Championship. Well Mr Murray take a look at the position we ended up. Seems that you were spot on.
How come you didn't make this point to Roland and Katrien?
You did some great work for the club many years ago but now you just seem to be holding on so that you can take over the wreck of a club when you can negotiate the Elliot deal through. You have long been a problem for Charlton and you need to Foxtrot Oscar out of town pronto.7 -
Gutless fucking weasel.
A decade of catastrophe. Wouldn't know what's good for the club if it bit him on the arse.
No respect for him whatsoever.
Hope he never comes back.10 -
Should be in an old peoples home. Sad, bitter old prick.7

He can only be so supportive of Miere for sexual or mental health reasons surely1

Surely he's an irrelevance, and has been for a long time.
He's destroyed his legacy and lost a fortune.
Too bad, Richard. You're the disease, not the cure.0 - Sponsored links:

Murray is an irrelevance, no power or influence. Sad but true. Lost all credibility with the fans as well0

I always thought RM was like a stick of rock, with Charlton written through his centre core. To realize that isn't the case is for me perhaps the most disappointing aspect with respect to our time under the Duchatelet regime.
I can take RD being who/what he is and can put up with KM's incompetence and lies but coming to understand that I was so wrong about Richard Murray is hard to take. I kept hoping and expecting to see him come out publicly and explain what it is that none of the rest of us can see, but nothing, he's clearly not the man I thought he was.
And frankly, I'm beginning to think the same about all the former players who continue to associate themselves with the Duchatelet regime too.5 -
I was a massive supporter of Richard Murray, he was Mr Charlton, but this season any respect he had from me has gone, and will never come back, he has not said a bloody word for months and the last time he did speak it was sadly bullshit.
Richard I'm sad that you have turned your back on us, I'm sad you think that RD and KM are good for the club, I'm sad sir that you have become a shadow of your former self!!15 -
Feel sorry for the guy - has lost the respect of nearly all the supporters. What a way to end up.1
-
Agree 100%. If he is still involved next season then we need a few anti Murray chants. Murray is a slapper anyone?0
-
Murray is either just another puppet or a coward, either way he deserves no respect from fans. He is watching and seemingly supporting KM and RD as they slowly kill the club. A despicable man.1

Keith Peacock was towards the front of the directors box, he looked very unhappy and uncomfortable.0
-
Seriously, I am so angry at his intransigence, that if I saw him I think to release the pent up fury and emotion inside of me, I would have to deck him. Sorry, but that is how I feel. "Enjoy League 1, you tosser"3

He doesn't just support her he thrusts it in our faces by staunchly sitting right up next to her. Provocation. Deserves what he gets.1
