I did and could have cashed out at £285 but left it. Why did those cocks Arsenal commit so many men forward for that first goal. Wished I listened to @RaplhMilne now

A Leicester City fan, who stood to win £250,000 from a £50 bet on his team winning the Premier League, has cashed out for £72,000.
The Warwickshire man, who has chosen to remain anonymous, bowed out of the 5,000-1 wager on Saturday.
Hours later his stake would have been worth £91,000 after the Foxes beat Watford 1-0, said Ladbrokes.
The winner said: "It will mean so much if we win, so there's no point in being greedy."
He said he was "ecstatic" and looking forward to the rest of the league whatever the outcome.
"The odds are constantly changing, even Chelsea could sneak into the top four at the last minute," he said.
"A holiday to Spain is a certainty followed by paying off the mortgage with the winnings."
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: "It's a life-changing amount of money and we congratulate our customer for holding his nerve this long."
Leicester City still have nine games left of the season, starting against Newcastle on 14 March, to secure their first ever top flight league title.
Odds on them winning the Premier League title are now 5-4, said Ladbrokes.
It comes a week after Leicester city John Pryke cashed out his bet for nearly £30,000.1 -

What a shame. In the week that Leicester look more likely to win the title than ever before he cashes out.
So he backs them when it appeared that they had virtually no chance and doesn't back them when they are closing in on the finishing line.0 -
Yeah 72k off £50, what an idiot!!5

Exactly. The blokes arsehole has gone - given his circumstances whose wouldn't? He's made the right call. He's has gained 72k.ValleyGary said:Yeah 72k off £50, what an idiot!!

Yes, but what about the £178,000 he just gave up on, when they are 5 points clear with 9 games to go ?ValleyGary said:Yeah 72k off £50, what an idiot!!
OK Leicester may crumble, but the bookies don't think so.
Statistically, as to whether it is a sensible decision, is are the bookies happy that he cashed out ?
The answer is yes they are. That's why they introduced cashing out. Even when on a rare occasion someone has a big win due, they now no longer have to pay out, as someone cashes out.0 -
Im not a fan of cash out, but thats when it comes to smaller stakes/returns.Covered End said:

This guy has laid out a smallish amount on a significant return, and he's made a potentially life changing amount of money by doing f all. Many people would be telling him to cover his bets, but with the outlay, that would be a similar profit to the cash out anyway.
Plus, his cash out was before last weekends set of fixtures.
The fact its his team as well, makes losing the whole bet compared to it going on and winning, even worse.2 -
He lives in Leicester, that's his mortgage paid off and he still has £68k to play with.11

Agree 100%. If it was charlton (lol) I wouldn't be worrying about potentially missing out on 178K but more how my liver would take 72K worth of Alcohol. Bet or no bet the lads going to be a winner if leicester win the league.ValleyGary said:
