  • Darius Vassell was in Silence of the Lambs
  • Sol Campbell was a doorman at one of the fights in Snatch.

Despite IMDB etc saying this, Campbell says it's not true........

Anyway, Stan Collymore in Basic Instinct 2 comes to mind. NOT THAT I HAVE SEEN IT - I have a reputation to preserve amongst you slavering hounds

I've heard this as well, apparently he dies in the first scene.

That said, no idea if this is true. It's one of those random facts you hear down the pub (or in my case The Football Ramble), but no one can ever verify because no one is certain that Basic Instinct 2 even exists.
It's an incredibly strange viewing experience. You have Collymore (whose own voice was clearly too weird for American audiences, so he's dubbed with someone else's) as a passenger in a fast car who has been drugged by a haggard Sharon Stone, who has no idea that she's no longer attractive, who feels the pair of them up before she drives into a river and he dies.

As bizarre and laugh-out-loud funny as it is, it only just makes the top three of utterly ridiculous things to happen in that movie.

    EDIT: Here it is.

Has Didier Drogba been mentioned, great at doing the near death scenes on a football pitch.

Sure I read somewhere (on here probably) that Carl Leaburn has been in East Enders.
