I actually quite like it0

I'd love to have been a fly on the wall in the meeting to decide the change.
How long must it seriously have taken?1 -

gas is 57.43p per unit and electric 37.45p per unit and if you pay by Direct Debit you save £12 a year and you go into a draw to win a season ticket for the following season and automatically entered into a draw to win lunch with your Clubs CEOIA said:
What's the email address if you want to ask how much you can save on gas and electric with them?pickwick said:enquiries@football-league.co.uk tell them how bad it is I just have

In the same way that the world's oldest rugby club Blackheath is simply known as Club, our competition should be called just League.2 -
It isn't known as 'Club' because it was the first.GlassHalfFull said:

Blackheath Football Club was formed from the old boys of Blackheath Proprietary School and when they played the school the spectators used to cheer for either 'School' or 'Club' - and the name stuck.
I'm happy with The Football League, The Football Association, The Rugby Football Union, The Derby, The Open et al - all others are just copies!!2 -
Wouldn't be surprised if the Barclays Premier League have had a say in this...
BPL: Sorry Football League but your going to have to change your name, being called the Football League makes you sound more lucrative and better than us, the almighty, the only worthy: Premier League.
FL: But we are the original Football League, its only right...
BPL: Look do you want us to steal Youth Players from your clubs and cut your funding?
FL: But you steal our Youth Players regardless
BPL: So... In that case we'll steal even more of them, for even less money
FL: Okay how about we change our name to the English Football League
BPL: Yeah, Yeah whatever, just so long as it shows we the best in the world0 -
Waste of time and money2

But everyone knows that the Jupiler Pro League is the best in the worldForeverAddickted said:Wouldn't be surprised if the Barclays Premier League have had a say in this...

It's a cheap gimmick but if it helps sell the Football League abroad then I'm all for it.0

Well, the Premier League have also rebranded, but seemed to have nailed it, keep the Lion, but make it modern, and this is a great line from the designers.
“the real driver behind [the new look is] this kind of digital, broadcast-first approach – make it work as an app icon, and worry about everything else after.”

Exactly this. The Football League was the original, so no need for the prefix 'English' just like The Open Championship, or The Championships, Wimbledon. Still, the way we're going as a club, perhaps we should be worrying about The National League rather than the Football League.cafcfan said:What a pile of crap. The thing is the Football League was the original one. That's it. It doesn't need any embellishment.
In the same way we just have QEII's bonce on our stamps and no country name. We don't care whether anybody knows which country the stamp comes from. Shows a degree of swagger and why not?

The Premier League rebranding actually looks half decent. Whilst the "EFL" nonsense looks corporate, bland and seems to retain nothing of it's original identity.0

Why do these companies who charge a bloody fortune for this kind of thing assume they need to justify their actions/existence with bullshit explanations of what they dreamed up in half an hour after lunch. And why do they think anyone cares about branding for things such as this?0

Take away the round badge and the lettering, just have a big fuck off lions head on the sleeves and it'll be fine1
