Why Does It Feel Different This Season?

For logistical/work reasons I cant make a game until Brentford in late October. At this rate I reckon we'll have a new manager by then! Can't say I'm gutted about missing a few games.0

And maybe some are going overboard now.Henry Irving said:I think there is a danger that we going a bit overboard like some did last year.
Remember one poster was claiming Bob Peters was the third best manager in our history this time last year.
I think our squad is stronger now than then but injuries can soon bring us down.
Let's give it 10 games and see where we are.4 -
Five more points on the board this time last season, but whilst I was not happy after Tuesday night, I'm willing to see where we are after the Cardiff and Fulham games. Ten games then gone and just before the next international game.
No points from the next two, then we will be bottom six.0 -
Team spirit is what's bothering me... working together and fighting hard for the cause is the only way Charlton have done well in recent history. But there doesn't seem to be any of this.. We may have more skillful players but if they don't work equally hard and give everything for the team we won't do any better... We need all the players to buy in to this..
If its a couple of individuals causing problems they need to be taken aside and spoken to...
If it's a wider problem then it needs to be tackled soon... whether it's as simple as playing Jacko for a few games to give us a bit more leadership on the pitch and to help us grind put a few results.
I hope it's something that can be resolved and quickly.. and we can move on from as we certainly have a few very good players...
However if it continues to get worse and if it get to the point where it seems the manager has "lost the team" then the only thing to do as with Bob last year is to change the manager. I hope it doesn't get to that as Guy has grown on me and I think he is a very good coach!.6 -
In all my many years of watching CAFC, I thought George Tucudean was the ultimate Enigma ? Going from 8.5 to 9 in games against Derby,Bolton and Cardiff;
all at the Valley. To 5 to 5.5 in most of the rest.
After the last 8 days and 3 matches please don't tell me we have ?
A Team of Tucudean's !

At 11-1 the odds were just too good.soapboxsam said:
Leave it out Harry Boy ?cafc_harry said:I must say I think it feels much worse this season, Igor is already injured, Watt is already even more unfit that usual and losing interest rapidly.
Might as well demote us now and get in out the way...
Some of us had the Kahunas to bet on CAFC to finish in the top 12.
I blame the Sofa.0 -
This should keep getting bumped? :-)
Sorry... couldn't resist. Just a little jest amongst the darkness.2 -
I'll repeat what I posted on 24 August. : - )Henry Irving said:I think there is a danger that we going a bit overboard like some did last year.

What did the bookies know that we didn't? It all looked so promising 4 games in.
Any other time my sense of humour would kick in, but right now all I'm thinking is what cruel bastard keeps bumping this?0 -
have too say, will all this momentum of protests and media attention against the owner diminish slightly if the players actually did their job and won a few games?
I hope not as I feel that will only paint over the cracks and this owner is a destructive force for our club but I can't help but feel that is what would happen if things did take a turn for the better on the pitch.0 -
I wish it was still November0

Al least 2016-2017 season should be better.
Wait, what do you mean not pushing for promotion? Got a top six squad/budget you know.
