Blimey. Just read it. Not good.0
-
Really don't understand how people think they can get away with that kind of stuff in this day and age. Stupid.0
-
Certainly paints tan in a differnt light doesn't it
Malky and the other bloke come out of this like pricks3 -
And now Cardiff are suing Moody and Palace. Very messy. Can't see Moody keeping his job either now. Appoint Sherwood and it's job done.0
-
This is gonna get messy......0
-
bloody hell. The mail are a pretty shoddy paper but to print that they've got to be 100% sure that moody and mackay sent those...0
-
Oh lord. Inexcusable comments from Mackay, he's in big trouble here, will find it difficult to ever get a job again. I felt sorry for him prior to this, now I think he's an idiot who deserves everything that he gets now.
Seriously? how can a football manager in this day and age be texting offensive things about black/asain players? Truely astonishing. What total idiots they both are.0 -
I remember this picture when a very generous hearted Chris Powell congratulated MM just before the end of our 0-0 the season Cardiff went up.
If the newspaper story is true, then it is so depressing that so many people are often in disguise.

How the hell does he manage to send and receive 70,000 text messages and 100,000 emails?
I thought most managers were illiterate - well 'arry boy, judging from his court case with the Revenue, says he is anyway so that must mean they all are surely.

It would be interesting to know exactly how they got hold of the specific messages in question after the whole phone hacking scandal, but they have to be absolutely sure of their veracity before they'll print them. Still a scummy toilet paper rag mind you!kentaddick said:bloody hell. The mail are a pretty shoddy paper but to print that they've got to be 100% sure that moody and mackay sent those...

With no manager and Moody surely following out of the door it can't help Palace in recruiting new players which is good.0
-
I really can't wish them the worst enough (edit. Does that make sense?)

I wonder what Malky's good friend Chris Powell is thinking having read that?
No doubt some will try to dismiss it as "banter", "only words", etc but a disgusting attitude, if true, regardless of if they were private messages or not.

One or two private messages a little close to the mark is one thing but, I agree with you, this is enough to have the man (men) marginalised. Especially after all the hard work that has been done in recent years to fight prejudices.Henry Irving said:I wonder what Malky's good friend Chris Powell is thinking having read that?

This, plus the the accusations of overspending and paying agents excessive sums, could make it very difficult for either of them to get another job for a while.
I wondered why he withdrew his court action against Tan!0 -
Have to see whether its all true though... I dont trust that Vincent Tan an inch and he seems like his head is crazier than a bag full of cats!!1
-
Can't trust anyone who hangs his belt buckle on his nipple line...1
-
All I can think of is the proffessionalism of Tan and many football chairman. Employing Moody and then giving him all that cash. To be fair Moody and Mackay did well assembling a squad in their first season, although they had plenty of cash. Honestly anyone writing text:emails like these after 15 plus years of email trials show an outstanding level of stupidity.0
-
I really hope that's the case. If we are really serious about eradicating prejudice from the game, then ensuring that these two chumps are kept out of football for as long as possible would send out a much stronger message than the various t-shirt wearing and flag waving days.kings hill addick said:

Regrettably, I suspect Mackay will just end up having to accept a lower profile job than he would otherwise have considered taking.0 -

skip to 2 minutes in "today he is a hero, tomorrow this will reverse when the truth comes out, i assure you". Also at 4:30 "when the time is right i will tell my story".0 -
Sorry but c'mon... With all this talk, whats happened to Innocent until proven Guilty
Who here remembers the disgusting claims made against Dave Jones when Southampton chose to sack him and it was bullshit!!0 -
Put that on his CV and he's nailed on to replace 'Ollie when he goes from down the roadhudson-son-son said:Racist, sexist AND homophobic. Impressive.

In a game where clubs happily take back convicted murderers and rapists out of prison, you can't help but think these moronic comments won't stop either landing good jobs in the future.
Gutted as I liked Malky.1 -
Unless the Daily Mail literally fabricated the messages they printed entirely out of thin air (which I can't see them doing) then it seems pretty sure that he did indeed say/write what is claimed. If they were being a bit vague as to the details then I'd agree with you but for them to be so specific suggests they are convinced as to the veracity of the messages - and post phone-hacking, the press will have been tightening up on such things.ForeverAddickted said:Sorry but c'mon... These are emails and texts that were aquired from a raid on Mackay's home, they are printed in numerous newspapers and will have been verified. Both Mackay and Moody suddenly withdrew legal action against Cardiff a while ago and both offered apologies to Tan, it was clear that he had something on them. They're in serious trouble, and will likely not work in football again. And rightly so. It seems Tan, amazingly, is going to come out right on this one.

So surprised always liked Mackay and thought he was well respected0

Just seen that Ian Moody has resigned from Crystal Palace as well... Retracting the above comment now I thinkForeverAddickted said:Sorry but c'mon... With all this talk, whats happened to Innocent until proven Guilty

Assuming those emails/texts are true, which it is quite safe to assume they are since the Mail are publishing them so clearly, then i hope they are both banned from Football in this country for life.
As we have to start dealing with this very old fashioned apparent "Football Culture" that some people in our game still think is acceptable.0 -
Not sure that it warrants a life ban but I agree it should be dealt with and the culture changed. Will take a long time though.GretnaGreenAddick said:Assuming those emails/texts are true, which it is quite safe to assume they are since the Mail are publishing them so clearly, then i hope they are both banned from Football in this country for life.
