I think Pulis has got this one wrong. Parrish is doing the right thing by running the club sensibly, especially after their history of financial troubles.

A win win situation all round. Palace don't blow their money, Parrish happy. Pulis maintains his reputation, he is happy. And Palace get relegated, everybody happy.

All we need now is to sign Andy Delores Delort today to make it a perfect Friday....................
  • Why now though?

Why not at at the end of the season?

If I was the Palace chairmen ( yes I know it's a horrible thought) if you'd just brought someone into your club who had 'earnt' you 100 million pounds, wouldn't you make sure before he got on a plane and went on his summer break that you had plans in place for this season?

Pulis was on the Radio last week talking about transfers generally and loyalty to players who had earned the right, by their effort and commitment of the previous season, to stay in the team for the next season. Players signed needed to be carefully factored in so as not to destroy the team spirit.

If the rumour about Zaha is true, I can see this difference between him and Parrish to have turned into a fundamental issue for him.

Would you being Palace Chairman be such a horrible thought... A Charlton Agent fan in charge of Palace I can only see them going in one direction ;-)

So, if they get relegated they'll be in the same league as us, with a fat wad of parachute cash. We will have to see what happens with their next appointment. Parrish seems to be slowly morphing from an irritatingly reasonable chairman to a total clownshoe. Hopefully he will fall into a spiral of dreadful appointments - Murray was seen as a model chair and yet he managed one successful appointment for every 4 duffers.

Some Powell fans really are deluded about how good a manager he is aren't they. No chance he'd be offered a prem job already.

Palace mate of mine who's dad used to be on the board reckons Malky Mackay.

    Flagging this is totally ridiculous!

Well there's 6 points we won't be getting next season.

'Lets wait until the end of the season before laughing at em'

No lets not, let us all laugh together now! HAR HAR HAR
  • I don't think Malky Mackay would be a great appointment for them, I don't understand the praise for him other than from Cardiff fans who don't like the way he was sacked.

What's totally ridiculous about it? He is nowhere near ready for a prem job. Jose Riga isn't being mentioned is he?

Mackay was made to look like an absolute gem by the mere fact he was being pitted against Vincent Tan. He got them promoted, they then struggled. Nothing spectacular.

Wasn't Mackay allowed to spend 30m on players? Anyone that comes into Palace will want to spend money or be on a massive bonus to keep them up. I reckon Allardyce will be sacked soon and he will end up at Palace.

Got a feeling that this is the kind of job that Tim Sherwood will end up in.

Objectively, not the most attractive job to follow up on. Wont be able to match previous managers record and now with a limited, un-ambitious budget to work with. Only someone with an emotional connection to palace like an ex player, I can see, taking the job. Its destined for doom and gloom.

Plenty of posters on here who can relate to that :-0

Having four equal shareholders is always going to cause a problem, it's best to have an odd number so that at least you can get a result eventually. Personally I don't go in for hating other teams, I prefer to use my energy in supporting my own team. That policy allows me not to give a shit about Palace.

It is ridiculous to flag someone just because they have dare suggested the CP might not be ready for a Premiership job. Which seems to be whats happened here.

Not quite sure why you are reacting so strongly?

Flagging is for comments you find offensive. Not merely just for when you disagree with someone. Flagging that comment is indeed totally ridiculous.

Moyes has ruled himself out, apparently the Colombia manager is amongst 30 to have expressed an interest.

    All us CAFC

I heard Parrish would only sign players called Nigel as part of the club's brand in the premier league.

Adkins has a got the job then...

Pulis is hardly Sir Alf Ramsey when it comes to managing a team ,but for a club like Palace who were going nowhere save for bottom place in the PL and possible financial meltdown on relegation accounting for the high numbers of costly dross players that his predecessor brought in , he was a world beater. Lightning doesn't strike twice and I suspect that they are nailed on for relegation now. Perhaps Holloway did more damage than we realise added to by some of the desperate gambles that Pulis made ( ince/ Ledley) that while not a concern for most Pl clubs were too expensive for Palace. Just shows that they should never have been in the league in the first place on a purely footballing basis of assessment and that it is really all about Parish hanging onto as much cash as possible.
