But Maidstones pitch is not approved for the next level, don't know if they will rip it up for promotion as their business plan is based on it.Miserableoldgit said:

[Edit] found this from last month:
 http://www.kentonline.co.uk/kentonline/sport/conference-vote-against-3g-pitches-11991/
Maidstone United's promotion hopes are in the balance after the Conference voted against allowing 3G pitches.
Clubs rejected the proposal at an EGM in Telford on Wednesday afternoon.
United will continue their fight to see their artificial turf permitted in Skrill South should they win promotion from the Ryman League Premier Division.
Stones boss Jay Saunders said: "In all honesty, the majority of people at the club were half-expecting a no at this stage.
"The players have just got to get on with it.
"They know the passion of Oliver Ash, Terry Casey (co-owners) and Bill Williams (chief executive) and they are doing everything they can to get 3G pushed through.
"All we can do is keep ourselves in a position to challenge for promotion."

            What's wrong with a 3G pitch......think we need one too.0

One of the comments on the link further up accurately sums up the 3G pitch issue i think:
"I think that in non league, the artificial pitch should be allowed, however at league level, a grass pitch should be required.
Maidstone should be used as a model club to the lower leagues, the pitch enables the club to achieve another method of revenue, helping the club to be financially sustainable. Also the pitch must help 'grass' roots football, playing on a flat, smooth surface must improve the technical ability of youth players, which recently had been encouraged by the FA"0

There were some interesting results involving Kent’s non league sides on Saturday afternoon with just a handful of postponements.Non League
Dartford’s recent good run of form in the Skrill Premier League came to an abrupt end with a 3-0 loss at Southport.
There was better news for Welling United though as they secured all three points at home to Macclesfield Town with Blaine Hudson scoring the only goal of the game.
Tonbridge Angels had a weekend to forget going down 7-0 at Boreham Wood in the Skrill South with Tommy Warrilow’s side finishing the game with nine men.
League leaders Bromley were held 2-2 at Hayes Lane by Bath City, whilst both Dover Athletic and Ebbsfleet United picked up useful 3-0 victories at home.

Folkestone Invicta did not sign Ramsgate striker James Everitt as a replacement for Aston Villa and Charlton Athletic target Johan Ter Horst
 by Steve Tervet
 stervet@thekmgroup.co.uk
 James Everitt
The return of James Everitt to Folkestone Invicta was not linked to a potential big money move away from the club for fellow striker Johan Ter Horst.
Ter Horst, linked with Aston Villa and Charlton among others, scored his 19th goal of the season on Saturday to further increase his transfer value.
The 18-year-old is expected to leave the Fullicks Stadium for a crack at the professional game sooner rather than later.
But Folkestone boss Neil Cugley, who this week re-signed Everitt from local rivals Ramsgate, insisted he would have tried to do that deal anyway.
Asked if Everitt had arrived as Ter Horst’s replacement, Cugley said: "That’s nothing to do with it. Michael Yianni can play up there as well.
"We’ve got a lot of games coming up and I heard James wasn’t happy where he was. I just thought it was a good time for him to come back, for the last seven or eight weeks. Things are a bit tight there (at Ramsgate) and Ratty made it quite clear he wanted to return.
"Four or five players in our team have gone away and come back again. He’s going to have to work hard to get into this team but the good thing about James is that he can play in all different positions."0

Midweek defeats for Dulwich and Maidstone. Looking good for Wealdstone to win the Ryman League.
VCD at home this evening and looking to keep hold of top spot in the Ryman League North.0
-
Wealdstone have 5 games in hand on Dulwich & Maidstone so I would say it is theirs to lose now.
