Graham Stuart

What does he do now?

Wikipedia page doesn't give much away he was a good servant to the club, underrated.

I know he was into Motorsport.

He's a big follower of Speedway. He used to be a pundit on sky now and then.

On a pound for pound basis, possibly Curbs' best signing. He did well in the top division and his partnership in the middle with Kinsella in the championship side was unbeatable. Always seemed a good bloke as well, an Everton fan told me that GS looked after him and his Dad when they went to meet the team on his Dads 80th birthday - he also said he found Duncan Ferguson terrifying!

Did he ever put a foot wrong or make a mistake while playing for us? I cant ever remember one.

One of my favourite ever moments was created by him.

CRonaldo was relatively new to the premier league and was doing stepovers galore. He absolutely roasted Graham so he unceremoniously just booted him up in the air and accepted his yellow card.

    It was superb

Looking for a job in football management maybe?

I'd say Kinsella myself, but Stuart was a bargain at half a Jeffers.
  • One of my favourite all time players. Big player in our Championship winning season.

Yes - a really stupid sending off that cost us the game.

    Can't remember the oppo though.

Kish hit Ronaldo about 5 times before getting booked. Stuart didn't even bother with the minor amount of subtlety. Stuart went for Ronaldo like he'd kidnapped his wife

I remember listening to the news that night - "Police have confirmed that they have arrested a man in connection with a break-in at the home of footballer Duncan Ferguson. Another man was aprehended previously and is also under arrest - in hospital"

Must have been like the moment in the Soprano's when Christopher told Tony he'd have to start questioning he management....

Apparently, Graham Stuart's wife has a reputation for being able to handle herself!

Now I remember. Kish chopped him down by the goal line near the box. Stuart's was over but the touch line, correct? Damn, my memory is failing me!

Think it was Leeds at The Valley.

Please enjoy this series of brutal assaults. Stuart's no-nonsense approach is at about 3:55. There's an incredible tackle from Kish at 6:55 but he finally upsets the ref at 7:04

Top player, even better bloke, shown by the fact he loves the great sport speedway! He was deffo a pundit for sky sports' speedway coverage. Noticed they've cut down on it recently though, they have the pundits doing the commentating... or the commentators doing the punditry.

Really underrated player for us. Very few seem to mention his name when talking about our Premiership years which is strange considering how many appearances he made and the important goals he scored.
